This is part 3, we reached over 500 on part 2. Let’s please continue posting the picture of your replica dress and midproduction photos. Please post and help other bees reviewing replica wedding gowns. Please PM bees for questions on specific replica bridal shop or designer names
No links for specific designer names/styles, replica shop name, etc. Please do not mention the desginer name, orignal dress name or particular replica shop, PM other bees for questions on the name of the shop that made the replica (otherwise we will be shut down). Also check for TRELLO updates. Thanks
Mr. Mouse mentioned:
“Bees are still free to share photos of themselves in their replica dresses, and even to recommend to other bees that they seek information about replicas (without mentioning a specific company or including a link to any replica websites). We’re not encouraging or discouraging anyone from choosing replica dresses, we are just not hosting the discussion on the site.”
“Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and clarify a couple of things that some people seem to be confused about. 1.) To keep this thread and others like it from being closed, we ask that you do not mention any specific designer or dress names, whether you are referring to the inspiration dress/dressmaker or the company who is creating the dress. 2.) Please do not include any tags on the post with the names of designers or dresses. Thanks and carry on!”

I am considering getting a dress from “The shop” for a reception dress or if its better than my current dress on me, it would be the wedding dress.

I am wondering what shipping charges were like and how about import charges????

Also what played a part in the upgrade to designer material??? I am not sure if that is nessisary or not….

Dang it…I cant edit. ANyways I would also love your opinion on which dress I should get. There really really close in price.

Mrs.Z.: those are pretty different from eachother. What did your first dress look like? I may have missed it if it was on a previous thread.

avlwedding: This is the dress I own. Its very pretty but I bought it without trying it on first since there wasnt a sample near me. It was disapointing because I am POSITIVE that it must have been hemmed and I definetaly cant wear flats. I LOVE the dress, but not really on me. I havent tried on the first dress up top but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the horse hair trim. I have tried on the second dress and it would be a nice reception dress if I had it made with no train. THe only thing is the colour. I really liked the gold it comes in from the designer and I think Id be a little more disapointed with it since I like the original colour.
I really love the first one minus the huge floral/ruffle thing happening in the front where the skirt meets the bodice (maybe just have them tone it down a tad I think it takes away from the dress a little). I also might do a beaded applique sash insead of the plain one but other than that love the horsehair ribbon the skirt. I love dresses that have some lace but not all over to give it a little more dimension it looks very couture.

Mrs.Z.: second one is sexier to me 🙂

Mrs.Z.: I know [content moderated] can replicate the second dress very, very close to the original (and they’ve done dresses like that a bunch of times), and I also know they have done the top and bottom (skirt) portions of the first dress (of similar dresses) – the only thing I would be concerned about in the first one is that poofy accent on the skirt – would you get that made with it?

Thanks everyone for the comments in the last thread! Reposting my mid-pro pictures in case anyone else spots anything.
My dress, with a plain sash and premium fabrics:
avlwedding: Good to know it’s called eyelash lace, thanks! I will definitely ask to remove.
FutureMrsGrabs: Yeah, I saw something was different about the gathering but couldn’t figure out what was different. It doesn’t bother me though.
observer: Not sure about flowers yet 🙂 We are having a beach wedding, so I was thinking I might replace all the flowers with seashells! There are some neat seashell bouquets on Etsy.

winterxrose: love the seashell bouquet idea!

Mrs.Z.: I looove the first one! Looks very couture , I agree they are completely diffrent styles. I would say the second is more of a reception dress., and also like Nikkiibee mentioned “the shop” can replicate the second no doubt about it, the first will be a littler harder but I’m sure they can still replicate 80-90% of it.
shipping is only $50. And I would always recommed designer if it has lace but then again look at Winterxrose dress it’s lovely and in premium
