Nope, we rocked the polar bear. Most people won’t notice – only your few friends who recently planned weddings 🙂

We had to just bite the bullet and use the polar bear.  I agree that probably no one else will notice.  🙂

We went with the polar bear too. I would have liked something different, but couldn’t justify the cost of custom stamps or using 44 cent stamps.

While I’m happy with the variety of options for 44c stamps I agree the postcard stamp selection SUCKS.  We’re doing postcard response cards to save cost on invitations, so clearly I’d be defeating the purpose if I upgrade to personalized or 44c ones.  I agree with PPs, no one else will notice, and once they’re out of your hands you’ll COMPLETELY forget about it=)

from Canada here!

can you believe that Canada Post charges the same amount to send a postcard as an envelope?   Shocked me.  We did postcard STDs.

The up- side was that we had cool stamps.  Gold medal stamps from when we Owned the top of the podium!  🙂

We’ll be rocking the Polar Bear stamps as well since the cost of custom/cool stamps isn’t justifable (is that word?!)

We just picked up our polar bears from the post office, lol. I’m waiting for my MOH to think I sent that just to her because she lives in Alaska, haha

we bought some vintage stamps on ebay for face value – they used to be first class letter postage, but are now a few cents more than postcard stamps. Probably not the best idea if you’re trying to send out something soon though…

I don’t want to pay extra.. so I’ll probably be going with the bear as well… I guess it could be worse.. I got normal 44 cent stamps for my thank you’s and almost ended up with “21 disguninshed genelemen”…. ugh, ugly postage!

I am so glad I found this post!  I was almost tempted to pass up those polar bears because I was afraid it would be ridiculous, but I agree the whole point to postcard response cards is to save money.  So yes, I will be saving the 16 cents per postcard and getting the polar bears as well.

I am soooo glad I am not the only one with this dilemna and I know that its just a stamp but really.. why can’t the post office have a wedding postcard stamp as well?

That’s what I thought a week ago when I was looking for Stamps for my Save The Dates.

FINALLY! The post office realized that the polar bears were not a hit! With a $.01 increase starting April 17st, 2011 The are issuing flower herbs stamps. These stamps are available for purchase on April 7,2011.  Not Wedding themed or the most pretty but neutral enough for me to boot the polar bear happily!

So for those brides who can wait and spend an extra penny per stamp then I say the wait is well worth it for a non- polar bear option!
