i used cardstock from walmart...i really didnt pay attention to the kind of paper i just knew i needed something heavier this is what i used. They turned out really well and made it through the mail with very minor marks on them.
Just FYI we put little address labels with our website on them and the postal markings made it kind of hard to read.

French Paper produces a heavy weight (140#) cover stock that can be handfed, one sheet at a time, through many home inkjet printers. The paper line is called Muscletone & it comes in several colors. Print with this paper & ask your local post office to hand-cancel your postcards (hand stamp them instead of sending them through the mail muncher machine). You should have the vast majority arrive in great condition.
Don't forget that you can always test various papers by making a postcard & addressing it to yourself.

Hello. My sister has created postcards for us to use as our save-the-dates and I've found a printer.
What kind of paper should we use? I've looked at 100 lb and it doesn't seem thick enough to survive the mail and look nice when recieved by our guests. I've read online that I should use 14 pt but I cannot seem to find it anywhere.
What did you use? Should I just go with one of the online printing sites that I don't have to pick the paper?
Any help would be greatly appreciated bees!
