Does anyone else run into posting awkwardness?
Sometimes, I want to respond to things, but I feel like my experience or my words will mean little to nothing, or the words will come out completely wrong, so I end up not commenting at all.
Please tell me I’m not the only one.

I run into a different kind of posting awkwardness… where I kill thread after thread after I post. I have a ton on my list with “no replies since”.
Or worse when I post a new thread and get like 2 replies where someone else with something similar gets 8 pages. I feel about as popular here as I was in high school lol ah well

@aithinne: LOL Every once in a while I start to post and then think “That sounds stupid” or “Someone said the same basic thing already” and cancel it.

Yep, I will write a long reply then delete it because I talk myself out of it.
@NovaGrey: I feel about as popular here as I was in high school Haha Totally feel like this too!

I have in my mind exactly what I want to say, and then type it out and it doesn’t make sense. I get you.

Just Do It 🙂
Your opinion is as valuable as anyone else’s. Your unique style of writing is part of what makes your contributions to the world important. Viva la différence. Never doubt that what you think and how you say it has value.
Don’t overthink it… hit that Submit button! I, for one, want to read it!

I do that too. I basically overthink everything I do so this is no shocker 😛

@NovaGrey: +1 on the popularity comment!!!
I get this way sometimes, esp when I start a thread that is DOA

When I do comment I feel like my comment is usually overlooked:((((

All the time.
I will even type out an entire post and then read it and think how dumb it is and erase it all.

@aithinne: If I feel strongly enough about something, I will post, but there are plenty of times when I don’t know what to say or how to say it (esp. without coming across horribly).
I’m a-OK with that, though, since there are plenty of wise, experienced Bees on here who have great advice/insight (and I’ve learned more from reading others’ posts than from simply responding to everything that may tickle my fancy). Even if I do have an opinion, it doesn’t need to be stated all of the time.

@NovaGrey: You are obviously taking this the wrong way. Thread killers have said what needed to be said so well that other people don’t feel the need to add anything to the profound brilliance contained in those pearls of wisdom. LOL.
