    Bees,

Does anybody have experience with the Pottery Barn registry? I've heard that they rotate their lines fairly frequently, so I'm a little worried that items we register for now may not be available when the bulk of our guests buy our gifts (we are just under six months out - wedding is June 26.)

Also, please share your thoughts on the quality of their bedding, linens, and dishes! I'm in love with these http://www.potterybarn.com/coll/col/coldnw/f042/ but am concerned they won't stand the test of time...

i loved my PB registry and didnt have any problems with items being discontinued.  we have sheets from there that i like a lot, and i have a friend with the exact same dinnerware that you like and i know she has had them for at least a few years and they seem just fine.  (they are fairly heavy though, so i would check them out in person to make sure you are ok with their weight).

Confession: I'm kinda PB obsessed! Every time I get the catalog I just want to crawl inside & live there. We didn't do big registry stuff yet but we did make a small one at PB.

I've alway wanted the Emma plates so we registered for basically every piece - HAHA! You're pretty safe with the Sausalito collection too. It's one of their staples & it's been around for a few years.

I love their bedding although I will admit the pattern I wanted to register for - I did have to buy myself because it was being discontinued. It had been around for a couple years though. The PB Essentials, the all white collections, and basically anything with a Hotel-like border (like the pearl stuff) have been around forever. I've never had the sheets pill. The newer stuff and the funky designs are the ones that they swap out by season. They just put out the spring collection too so even if you like the newer stuff, you should be good to go. You're only talking 6mo's so you should be fine. They don't change out that quickly.

If you're thinking about furniture though I'd do it somewhere else. They're totally overpriced in furniture and you can find basically the same things elsewhere.
