Has anyone ever been to or checked out the Prallsville Mill? Its a little over two hours away from my home and I wanted to get some feedback on the place first before I make it out there. I fell in love with the antique and quaint style of the place from the pictures.
Also, does anyone know if the rental feel of $1850 is just for the place or does that include the chairs, tables, linens, etc. or does the caterer provide that? Also, if you do know the place is good, could you recommend a caterer in the area? When/if I go out there I want to make sure I can hit everything all in one day. Thank you so much! Oh! and the budget is about $8000 give or take. Less is of course always better.

Hey there! Yep, we checked out the Prallsville Mill last summer, when we were searching for a venue in that area.
It’s received some amazing feedback here on the ‘Bee and elsewhere because of how rustic it is and what an unusual setting it has.
It wasn’t a fit for us for a couple of reasons (1, it’s SUPER rustic, a bit too much for us, and 2, we just had too many people to fit comfortably in there.)
How many guests are you inviting to the wedding? If it’s a smaller number, it might work better.
I say go check it out – can’t hurt! Can’t remember what the $1850 fee does/does not include. Dish catering is very popular in that area, and it’s close by, but kind of pricey. There are some awesome BBQ places that could work for your needs, too, if that’s something you’re interested in.
Good luck! 🙂
