Oh! I just went to one this weekend. Can't remember the exact wording but they went like this.
1) For the Church
2) Issues abroad
3) For family/friends
4) For married couples
5) For the couple getting married
6) Individual intentions ("in the silence of your heart," i.e. people didn't say them out loud)
I know this is pretty general but I hope it helps a little. When we do ours I want to focus on the issues one especially.
We used the standard wording they use in mass but we added prayers for the deceased members of our families.
We wrote our own and were encouraged to do whatever we wanted. Here's what we did:
On this, our wedding day, we feel blessed to be joined by family and friends in the spirit of love. Let us stand, united, and offer our prayers together to God. Let us respond by saying: Lord hear our prayer.
For Father Larry, may he continue to be a source of inspiration and reflection for others, so that he may move them in a way that his words of love move us. We pray to the Lord.
Response: Lord hear our prayer.
For all couples joined in love throughout the world; may their love and devotion to one another be strengthened, and may they seek the support they need in times of trial. We pray to the Lord.
Response: Lord hear our prayer.
For all those gathered here today; whether they have traveled from Vancouver, Halifax, or the many places in between, may they all have safe travels home, from our wedding and always. We pray to the Lord.
Response: Lord hear our prayer.
For our parents, family members, and friends who have helped us grow through their love, support and guidance; May they feel the gratitude, love and support in return from us and through the joining of our families. We pray to the Lord.
Response: Lord hear our prayer.
For our marriage, may we journey together, supporting one another with love, patience, and faith. We pray to the Lord.
Response : Lord hear our prayer.
Dear God, the source of all love, look graciously upon us. Help us to grow in love with your grace through life’s tribulations. Bless us with children and help us to use our marriage as a foundation to help others. We ask this through Christ our Lord. R: Amen
@cvbee: i really love yours, i can't imagine being able to make it through without crying though! T_T

hi ladies. I just began looking over our together for life book and noticed that we are able to write our own prayers of the faithful. I really love this idea of making it personal, and was wondering if anyone would mind sharing theirs if they did this? I need some inspiration! Thanks!
