We were just chatting in another post about this - what were your avatars before becoming bees, ladies and gents? :-)
I was lmariea, but I wasn't super active, so I don't know if anyone knew me as that before.
Mary Jane was marquismiss, if you recall.
I was CaliValley82....I posted occasionally, but was more of a lurker overall. The purple flower from my avatar will be featured in a lot of my upcoming DIY posts, including the rubber stamps post from today.

Thanks Bunny, for outing me! :) Of course you're the only one I actually knew of to "out," too. :)
I only posted about 10 times prior to becoming a bee, so no one would know who I was. And actually, I left all my old posts behind since there were so few.
I was actually vailbride, and I honestly responded here and there. I really wanted to be a bee, and started my blog for that reason. No avatar, because I came on the scene before the addition of avators! Keep sharing, I love!
It seems like there's not many bees that had a big presence on the boards. I almost feel like that might influence their selection - if someone already has an identity here, it might be hard for them to start over on the blog. Mr. Bee, is there any truth to that?
I was cautious_joy. I had just over 50 board posts before becoming a bee. You guys put me to shame!
I know who a few are, but don't want to out them in case they don't want to be outed...
@danielle: I'm going to have to say there is no truth to that. ;) I certainly didn't post over 2,500 times in one week!
I remember Mary Jane as marquismiss! =] And I remember seeing a few of Pudding's posts because caution_joy just kinda struck me and I remembered it =]
I was Knit. I wasn't an active commenter. Mostly on blog posts and not many in the boards. I had some DIY posts- a couple hive members PMed me to tell me about my DIY posts under a different name when I was first introduced.
I was jennarationnext... I wasn't super active, but I commented every once in a while. Most of my post count was accumulated pre-bee.

@pretzel- I remember seeing your name! It stuck with me because it was so very simple and uncomplicated!!!
Many of our bloggers had massive post counts before being accepted on the blog! You can spot them on the leaderboard, since they generally keep commenting!

These things go in waves... the last wave of blogger bees haven't been as active on the boards before applying. But the wave before that was SUPER active on the boards first!
I don't know why but it really helps me to know whether you were folks that I'd already established a relationship with... Like Knit... I would have definitely been more attentive to Pretzel in the beginning if I knew she was Knit!

@DG I totally agree. If I ever were to become a Bee, I'd feel weird if people didn't know me all of a sudden... i'd have to "out" myself!
Ditto. Although I think that, with the kind of posts I make, people would know who I was immediately! There'd be no "oh look at my FI!" i'd be like "well, my FI is in Iraq, so it's PAPER NIGHT" and then I'd show ridiculous pictures of my cats dancing on my paper invitations and trying to help me with DIY. That would get me outed for sure. =]
I agree, I think I'd have to "out" myself. I would be too excited not to. 
@amanda.lynn- ditto. though i don't think someone as loud and obnoxious as i am would not be realized. lol
Hm... I haven't made a big thing of "outing" myself because I'm ridiculously paranoid. It's quite easy to figure out if anyone is interested (I've answered anyone who's PM'd me, and going through one of my billions of old threads generally makes it pretty clear), but for some reason having it all come together "out loud" makes me feel nauseous. ;) I already find myself super-anxious everytime a post goes up, wondering if I might say something that upsets someone accidentally while I have so much exposure freaks me out. So if I don't *directly* answer this question most of the time, hopefully everyone understands... I'm just weird. :)
so glad this thread came up! I just asked this question last night to Miss Spaniel in the post-a-thon. i was wondering the same thing... because I feel like there is kind of a smaller group here who posts a LOT and I would definitely notice if one of them went missing. And if I become a bee I couldn't NOT tell you all who I am! You'd wonder where corgi went all of a sudden!
Well shoot, I was going to out some b/c I know who they are...but maybe they'd like to be anon.
So all I'll say is that I remember Bear Cub and Bruchetta from their pre-bee days.

I was Spwingal before I was Lamb and my avatar was a pic of Lambster and me (he was in those delicious choker whites! mmmmmm, men in uniform make me weak in the knees!). I had just started posted a bunch, mainly in the Virginia, Christian and Military forums.
Bear Cub and I were blog friends before she became a Bee :)

I agree, 50, I don't think you'd have to out yourself officially for you to be outed, LOL!
Yorkie outed herself after she became a bee if you all want to look back and find it. I feel bad outing her. But I totally remembered her being on the boards I ton. I love it when Bees let us know who they used to be. @pretzel, I totally remember seing you too, the knit name was really easy to spot!

Before becoming a bee I was good 'ole craftypants! I outed myself because I was wanted all of my girls on the boards to know that I was still around. Heaven knows I sure spent a lot (some may say too much) time on here. Ha!
Anyway, you may have remembered me looking a little bit like this...

I think it is interesting to remeber Bees from the boards :)
I def remeber Miss Yorkie, Lamb, Bruschetta, & Mary Jane pre-Bee!
I am surprised that anyone remembered Knit! I was all worried because my DIY posts were still in the system as Knit I thought it would confuse people so Mr Bee changed them to Pretzel. I just figured Knit was a lurker who didn't post too much... ;-) I post a lot more now.
Before Miss Poodle I was Joylucero and my avatar was a drawing a made of Mr. Poodle and I. I was pretty active from the moment I found weddingbee but my 300 or so post count back them dont sound so impressive now LOL
