I thought I'd share a great Pre-Cana resource my friend gave me recently and which I'll be utilizing.

My fiance is not Catholic, but I am, and we'll be having our wedding ceremony at the same place as the reception but with a Catholic priest. We're doing all the Catholic paper work in order to make this OK for the Church and one of the requirements is that we go to Pre-Cana. Growing up in a Catholic household, this was not news to me, but I had to tell my fiance. The great part about telling him was that I could say that I found a legitimate Pre-Cana counselor who is actually married with children. I was under the assumption that only Catholic priests held pre-cana sessions, but it seems that I was wrong! Even better, we do not have to spend a whole weekend doing it with other people, we are meeting our counselor and having a 4 hour conversation with him. We're going to take the FOCCUS test now and when we meet with him, he'll have the results. He and I have emailed several times and he knows that my fiance is not catholic and my friends who used him said that he was not uber religious - he shared his own marital struggles and a lot of psychological research about marriage.
