I thought I'd share something that we did at my wedding that turned out to be very helpful! We got married at 1 pm and chose to do our pictures (including family pictures that did not inclue both bride & groom) before the ceremony. That meant that wedding party members starting arriving at 10 am and family members started arriving at 11 am.
As I was thinking about the logistics of all of that, I realized that having all those people there so early could result in a lot of hungry tummies. I ended up contacting the catering department of a local grocery store (Wegman's) and ordering two assorted sub trays and a veggie tray and having one of my friends pick them up along with sodas and chips. It ended up being beautfiul - all wedding party and family members were able to get a bite to eat and not have a growling stomache before the ceremony. We had ordered a large quantity just in case and that ended up being a good thing. It was so nice to be able to offer food to anyone who needed it. For example, my mom spotted some out of town guests who had driven straight to the wedding and gotten there a bit early. She offered them to go to the kitchen to grab a bit and they were much appreciative.
This worked out well for us - just thought I'd share!
