I dont think it really matter when you take the pictures.. We are gonna take our pictures before our ceremony. All my sister and brother did that and it works out just fine. Also everyone that I know they took pictures before their ceremony.
He still going to experience that "wow factor" when he comes over to your house to pick you up.. so its not like there wont be that great moment. I like the idea of taking picture before because that way it will give us so much more time to capture so many great pictures without feeling pressured that your guest are waiting for us.
We did a first look and it didn't take away from the ceremony at all! I was really happy to get those few moments with my husband before the ceremony and it eased my nerves a bit. I was still just as excited/ emotional when I was walking down the aisle toward him. I would highly recommend a first look and photos before the ceremony--takes a lot of stress away.
We did a first look and that was very special because it was just the 2 of us (minus the photographer). It took a lot of anxiety away and I was so much more relaxed after that. I would definitely recommend a first look and pre-ceremony photos.
Thanks Bees!
I think I might do it since it would definitely help minimize the picture time during the cocktail hour... We'd still need to take pictures with our families, but at least the entourage pictures would be out of the way already. Also, our videographer wants to do a little mini video session while we're taking the pics, which sounds cute too! Hmm...
I think the first look moment is extra special because it is alone time with your groom. And I don't think ANYTHING could take away from the moment when you walk down the aisle toward him.
We are also going to do our Pictures before the Ceremony and Reception..
I think its a great idea you will look nice and fresh in your pictures
We are doing photos before the ceremony so they are done during the daylight hours and also so guests are not waiting for us. I am walking down the aisle with my groom, so we will see each other beforehand anyway.

For those of you that did a "first look" session or pre-ceremony pics, which could take a lot of stress & time away between the ceremony & reception, did it take away from your walk down the aisle towards your groom? I'm thinking of doing this, but not sure if it will mess up that "moment' that I'm waiting for when we first see each other... what do you bees think?
Thanks!!
