I am waiting for my dress to come in also. I will gauge my weight loss depending on the fit. I say this after i just finished up mac and cheese for lunch lol.
Update: three months later - it fits!
I went in for my first real fitting on Monday and the dress fits perfectly. I don't need any alterations, not even with hemming for length. The tailor is just making the bustle for me and that's it. I'm going to try and lose 5 pounds between now and the wedding just to make it more comfortable for myself though.

In other words, my dress came in and I went to see it today. As I thought might happen, it won't zip up all the way. I was hoping that wouldn't be the case but can't say I'm surprised! Now I have a tangible, urgent motivation to eat better and work out more regularly, so I guess that's good.
I have three months to lose about 15 pounds and hope that the dress will zip up then!
