Do you go to a church in California? I would just talk to your current pastor, or ask the pastor of the chuch where you're getting married. I know you don't live there so you can't do it with that person, but he (or she) might have a recommendation? We did pre-marital counseling. However, we did not do it with our officiant, since that was my Dad :) We did it with friends of my family (a pastor and his wife).
@laurennwilson: DH and I did the course through Abundant Life in Mountain View (off of Rengstorff behind the Costco). Charmaine and Patrick were awesome and they'll give you a certificate to take back to your home church. PM me if you want more details. :)

Hi everyone! My fiance and I live in San Jose, but we are getting married in our hometown in Missouri. Our church requires us to go to premarital counseling before getting married, but we can't complete it back home at our church. Does anyone know of any programs or retreats out here in California? I have heard of "A Weekend to Remember", but it seems more tailored to already married couples - are there any other programs (similar or not) out there? Thanks!
