My dress was pre-owned. Between the extra fee for ordering it plus-size and the alterations, the original bride paid just over $2,000. She originally wanted $1,000 for it, but I ended up paying $900. No alterations were needed (thanks to my 5″ heels), so I consider it a steal.

@CatyLady:  I ordered a preowned wedding dress using an escrow service to ensure that I could return it if it didn’t work for me (US to Canada).  I ended up returning the dress, and lost a lot of money via shipping, escrow service and exchange rate.  If I were to do it again, I definitely would not have ordered the dress, but it did give me peace of mind to know that the dress was not for me and I will no longer be pining over it.  The dress is a Sareh Nouri which retails for 6800 and I (temporarily) purchased it for 2500.  I have a feeling that having it cleaned jeopardized the quality of the fabric and that is why it felt so cheap when it got to me.  Here is an image of me in the dress:

This is what the dress looks like on the model:

It just didn’t quite correlate for me.

This is my pre-owned beauty – had a bit of dress regret with her at first as it’s not the exact dress i was lusting over but it’s similar enough that i’m happy now. Dress retails for $3000 and i got her for $900 – needs to be let out a tiny bit but i’m hoping to get some exercise motivation before the wedding and adding a bustle. Just need to figure out how to fluff it up a bit as it’s very flat from being stored.

@Missy_Star:  I love it! It doesn’t look flat at all to me.  Congratulations on the deal as well!

I don’t have pictures of me in it yet, but here is the top of the dress! Retails for $2000, paid $350.

This is mine, I bought it from an Etsy seller of vintage dresses for around $140. It fits me perfectly, the only alternating it needs is putting in cups in the chest area 🙂 Loooove it!

I found my dress on the wall of a sketchy market / secondhand store. Tried it on half as a joke, half as I liked the style and was going later in the day to try on dresses anywaThe I fell in love with it and bought it for $200. It is a vintage handmade dress for an Italian wedding. I removed the bow. I didn’t mind it, but knew my guy wouldn’t like the bow!

Pictures really don’t do it justice… It is so beautiful IRL!
