So DH and I have decided to switch out our lube in favor of pre-seed as we get ready to TTC this winter.
I’m looking on Amazon and it’s super expensive! It’s like $36+ for a thing, but Target claims to have it for $20. Is there something I’m missing here? Usually Amazon is cheapest for pretty much everything.
So TTC’ers, what have you found to be the most cost efficient way to purchase it?
ETA: Is there a difference between the Pre-seed in the blue box with flowers versus the pink looking box with a couple on it?

@Mrs.LemonDrop: We bought ours at Walgreens drug store for around 26 bucks.

I bought ours at CVS for around $24 but have seen it at Walgreen’s too. Not sure I’ve seen it in Target.

My Target and WalMart both have it for $20.

I am pretty sure there are different ways to buy it. I think it comes in a larger size tube and also in individual “applicators.” I could be wrong though I was always put off by the price to look into too much detail.

I got it at Target, for $20. Can’t remember what color the box was.

I also got it at Target! It was $20. White box, I think! You really have to look for it!

Awesome! Thanks everyone! I know I saw it at my local Target recently, but wanted to talk to DH before I bought it and shop around a bit. I’m surprised that it does seem like Target sells the 1.4 oz container for much cheaper than Amazon. Happy surprise. ; )

I saw this when I was looking for ttc tips. Is this ACTUALLY worth it? I want to know that it actually helps before I buy something like that!

@Mrs.LemonDrop: I went to CVS determined to buy it but stopped at the $30+ price tag. I must have looked weird, standing in the pregnancy test aisle for about five minutes debating over it. I was convinced it would be cheaper on amazon, but it wasn’t.
It’s silly, because babies are a million times more expensive than preseed, but I just couldn’t bring myself to buy it.

@SweetartMD: I’ve seen a lot of bees say they really liked it. Obviously, there’s no way to know whether pre-seed “did the trick” so to speak, but these are my general thoughts/take aways from reading about it for a while here:
– A lot of bees really like it. I’ve generally gotten the impression that most of the bees who used it did so as a lube and not necessarily with the applicators.
– If you don’t really get EWCM, it might be worthwhile because the more ewcm you have, the better chances sperm have to survive and actually make it to the egg. (I rarely get EWCM, although that might be changing because I had it two whole days last month).
– We already regularly use lube during intimate times. Apparently almost all other lubes are not sperm friendly due to the various ph balances and general chemical make up. Even though we use pretty expensive lube that I’m overall quite happy with, it’s time to replace the bottle. Since we’re going to start TTC around Christmas/winter ’14, it seems dumb to drop $20-25 on our regular lube. I’d rather try the pre-seed now (my husband is abroad so it’s not really going to get “used” much until december anyway).

I totally get it. I thought $30+ also seemed outlandish and couldn’t bring myself to pull the Amazon trigger either. For some reason, $20 is expensive to me but seems more reasonable.

@Mrs.LemonDrop: I bought mine online from CVS with a 25% off coupon!

@pinkshoes: That’s where I got it from…$20 knocked up and no applicator just use like regular lube. It feels so good we use it now.
