My little brother is awesome on the guitar.. My wedding is over a year away so it will give him plenty of time to learn any songs I request- but what songs should I have him play for pre-wedding music? It will be all acoustic. I’m getting married on the beach. Any advice? Thanks so much.

we’re having an acoustic guitar/vocalist play for our ceremony, as well – and we have just asked him to play appropriate folk songs acoustic before the ceremony and with vocals after. the only songs we actually requested were the four for our ceremony: the wedding song – peter paul and mary, grow old with me – john lennon, annie’s song – john denver, keeper of the stars – tracy byrd.
sorry, i know that wasn’t much help… but i’m not sure anyone will even notice what the before and after songs are… so we decided to not worry about it.

We are doing Low Strung’s Don’t Stop Believing. It’s the acoustic version. I was also thinking of Beach Boy’s God Only Knows.

We’re also having an acoustic guitarist w/ a female vocalist. We’re thinking about:
At Last – Eva Cassidy version
The Nearness of You – Norah Jones
In My Life – Beattles
Waiting for my Real Life to Begin – Colin Hay
Can’t Help Falling in Love – Elvis (we are getting married in Memphis, after all!)
This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) – Shawn Colvin
Somewhere Over the Rainbow – Israel K….
Hope that helps! Good luck & Congratulations!
