I thnk the curls look really nice on you, did you happen to take a pic of the waves for comparison? I wish I could keep my hair short like that, but its way too think and weirdly wavy. It was almost to my butt at the wedding, i got it cut short, a little shorter than what you have there, and it was just awful. Unless I styled it everyday, it looked like crap. I then had it grow out to a few inches below my shoulders, and when I got it trimmed the girl took off too much. Its at about the same length now, and I am going to let it grow about 6 more inches.
I would LOVE a pixue cut, but there is no way it would look good on me :(

I love the curls! and that headband! seeing your hair trial makes me wish I could pull off short hair! and I also would like to see a pictures of the waves too!

wow! how brave! after having my hair about the length yours was pre chop i think it would be a shock to cut 12" off! i love the hairstyle you choose its very elegant and yet still simple... thouse i love the curls too!

I will either pull a Pre-wedding chop or get a PWC right away. I love my hair midlength, and this long-long-long thing is driving me nuts. But I do want an updo, so I have to ask my hairdresser about cutting pre-wedding.
@Ms. Anemone: Some hairdressers will refuse to do any kind of cut too close to the wedding. So if you do want a PWC, make sure you try to do so at least a week ahead of time.

I have seen a lot of posts lately about short-haired brides and I've been loving it! I grew my hair out for the past 2 years so that I could have the option of wearing any style I'd want for my wedding. I had mostly known I wanted to go back to short hair, but didn't want to shoot myself in the foot.
When we were 1 month out, I felt we were close enough to the wedding where I wasn't going to change my mind about wanting to have long hair. So, while off on a business trip, I slipped into a salon and had 12" of hair cut off! I mailed the foot of hair off to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths.
I knew right away that the cut was the right move. I feel much more like me and will feel more relaxed not having a formal up do on my wedding day. About a week after the big pre-wedding chop, I went for my hair trial.
I'm not sold on the curls. Toward the end of the day, I brushed out the curls and was able to rework the hair into waves. I am going to look for different inspiration pics to take for the day-of.
Walking away from the trial, I love the length, it works great with my headpiece, and I really enjoyed the women at the salon (wedding is 3+ hrs away, so this was my first time in this salon).
If you are stressing over whether to do a pre-wedding chop or not, do it! I use my hair to express control and my long hair ended being a representation of all of the wedding planning stress we'd gone through over the past almost-2 years. Cutting it off was symbolic in letting go of that stress and bringing me back to me. I feel so much lighter and more free heading into the week before the wedding!
