As I mentioned in an earlier post, my fiance and I will be having guests flying in to stay with us from overseas. I’m a crazed planner and want to makesure everyone enjoys themselves while visiting Canada.
Did you focus on guest entertainment/activities while visiting from afar for your wedding? Do you wish you would have? What would you have dpne differently? What are you happy about doing?
I apologize for so many posts!

@JulieJBerg: You have a couple of options – you can either make lists of places to go/things to do for your guests to choose from, or you could organize a get-together before your wedding day. It just kind of depends on how you and your fiance roll! 🙂 If you feel like you’ll want time to yourselves, then I’d just offer your guests ideas of things they can do!

We are doing a welcome party the day before for our guests. That’s really about it!

i wouldn’t go too crazy – we’re having a welcome party the night before, but i hate when i hop off a plane and there are 4,290764 things to do when i really just want to have a shower, unpack and chill for an hour. so i’d plan something, just not five things 🙂

- Wedding: August 2013 - Rocky Mountains USA
We also had a lot of people come in from a long way away and wanted to have more than just the wedding. Some of them for the whole week.
On Thursday afternoon, we hosted an easy hike to our favoriite swimming hole up in the mountains and then met up at restaurant with a big outdoor deck for a pay-your-way dinner. Our friends offered to host a bonfire party after, so we all went and hung out (way too late!). Friday we had a family brunch with all the extended family on my side and his side. Friday early evening we had a welcome BBQ for the entire guest list – probably 80% of the people were there. Saturday was the big day. And then Sunday we had a farewell bagel brunch.
We really REALLY loved having extra time with all our loved ones whom we don’t get to see all that often.
