Mr. Bruschetta suggested the other day we sign up for pre-wedding massages to calm down and relax in the week or so leading up to the wedding.
What do you think? Good idea?
Are you doing anything in particular to calm down as your wedding approaches?

Oh heck yeah! I had a hot stone massage the day before my BFF’s wedding (I was a BM)….it was perfect!
I’m hoping I can fit in a yoga class the morning of our wedding, but if I can’t, we’re definitely getting massages the day before.

One of the Mrs. Bees didn’t recommend it so close to the wedding (I believe she got a massage the morning of her wedding or day before) – she said it made her skin and her muscles feel weird. Sorry I can’t remember who it was, but I’ll try to look it up and update my post if I do. Even so, I would do it a week to the date to be on the safe side, it would be a great little bonding session!

I’m a massage therapist and I see lots of brides (and grooms) before their weddings. If your nerves are getting to you, I would highly recommend getting one! Just make sure that you tell your therapist about your wedding and ask them to be gentle, you don’t want to be sore on your wedding day. Also, if anything feels wierd or uncomfortable, remember to speak up!

I got a massage – my first – the day before my wedding. It was just a standard massage, probably a half hour long, and I didn’t feel weird or anything the next day. But, I like kind of a harder, more intense massage, and the one I had definitely was not that – maybe because they knew I was getting married the next day. But keep in mind that you do get very thirsty!
I don’t know that it helped me relax any. I was at the spa with my mom, some aunts, my grandma, and my bridesmaids, and the whole time I was being massaged I kept thinking I wanted them to hurry up so I could be with my friends/family! But, if it had just been me and my husband I might have been better.

I’d say YES YES YES. I got one a few days before and i couldnt believe how much more relzed my shoulders felt after.

I plan on having one one or two days before, just to spend some time on my own.

I got a massage on the Friday morning before my Sunday wedding. It was great, but I went from massage to rushing around to appointments which was disappointing. I had hoped to get everything done before Friday (ha!) but it just didn’t work out.

I’m surprising my BMs with massages the morning of the wedding! Cause I KNOW that I stress them out

@Miss Bruschetta–have you ever had a hot stone massage? They make me swoon with glee. I used to live in Las Vegas, and occasionally treated myself to the glorious spas at the nice hotels on the Strip. I went to the spa at Caesar’s Palace, had a hot stone massage, and left feeling so relaxed it felt like I had no bones. Totally a feeling I would want to replicate on my wedding day!
