So I have recently gotten the idea to scrapbook my adventures of planning my wedding, from the engagement party to the night before, I think that it is something that would take my mind off of the stress and enjoy the process.
Has anyone else done this? Is it unnessasary to do? Do you think maybe it is something that I should wait to do until after the wedding??

I think those are wonderful memories to have! I don’t see why not. I have been journaling, but adding pictures would really enhance it. Its a special time, it would be nice to remember all the details!

I’m going to turn my binder into a scrapbook, its kind of been a process, I add pictures here and there. Its totally unnessesary but I don’t care. I know I’ll be happy to have it!

My mom gave me the weirdest look when I dug the price tag for my wedding dress out of the trash after she threw it out. I haven’t decided what to do with all of this “memorabilia” yet but I love having little mementos from all my best pre-wedding moments!

@PaperCrane: glue stuff like that into a book. i travel a LOT and i love keeping things like receipts in different languages and ticket stubs and things. i glue them in books as i go and they’re so awesome to look back on.
and similarly, i’ve made a journal for the planning process. kind of broken up into sections, but it’s where i put all my ideas/price research. it’s nice to have it all in one place and when it’s over i’m sure i’ll like to look back over at all the thoughts i was having.

For me it would have been unnecessary since we didn’t have any of the parties before getting married.

I found this scrapbook at the bookstore while I was planning and fell in love with it.
It has places for you to put momentos from when you were dating, stuff from your engagement, as well as all your stuff while planning and then places to put things from the wedding day and the honeymoon after you’re married.
It is filled with cute illustrations and made by the editor of Martha Stewart Magazine. Love it!!
Now that we’ve been married almost a year and a half, it’s fun to go back and look through it.
Check it out!

From someone whose wedding is two months away, I really wish I had done something like a scrapbook. I’ve never scrapbooked before, but I wish I had at least blogged or journaled some of the process. You’ve inspired me to start journaling now!

I bought a scrapbook from Creative Memories and it will actually be our guestbook. I scrapbooked photos and mementos from our relationship and our engagement date, and guests will sign around the photos. I also bought an extra pack of pages, that I’ll add after the wedding. On those, I’ll scrapbook our engagement party, important planning decisions (like when we bought the dresses!), bridal shower, rehearsal, and finally, candids from the wedding. I am getting a great pro album from my photographer but what to do with all those candids? My stepmom has a DSLR camera and I know she’ll be shooting away the whole day. This is a great idea because it’s the whole wedding in one book: guestbook, planning, parties and the wedding.
