(Closed) Pre-wedding wedding gift etiquette……

Are you planning on having a gift opening?  If so, you might wait until then to open it. 

Even if you’re not having an official opening, I’m sure nobody will hold it against you if they don’t receive a thank you card until after the wedding.  You can of course acknowledge that you received it, and are waiting to open it, or that you opened it, and loved it.

I’d open it now, maybe mention something to them at the wedding and definitely send a thank you.  But I don’t think it really matters if you send the thank you immeadiately or after the wedding with the other thank yous (especially since you are so close).

Open it now.  Thank them at the wedding (if it isn’t awkward to do so in front of guests), and send them a thank you note.
