I can’t tolerate my all-time favorite things: red meat, chocolate and coffee.

And I’m having milk for breakfast every day, and I never drank milk before.

Pineapple, Orange Juice and Tacos… and In and Out!

Literally throughout my entire pregnancy! I am 27 weeks.

My LO is 2 weeks old, but while I was pregnant I loved frosting. I HATED frosting before I got pregnant. Even as a kid, I didn’t eat birthday cake because I didn’t like the frosting. I would always want ice cream cakes instead. While I was pregnant I ate some sort of frosted food (cupcake, cake, whoopie pie) at least once a week… maybe more. Now that DD is born, I wonder if I still like frosting. Maybe I should buy a cupcake just to test it out hehe.

I’m just 8w5d, and so far very few things feel appealing. On the other hand, lots of things are totally unappetizing! Like anything with sugar, so my beloved fraps from Starbucks are out, I can only eat berries if they are sour (used to eat berries with breakfast every morning), cream cheese is horrid and I can’t drink tea anymore for some unknown reason.

What I occasionally really feel like? Granny Smith apples and cucumber… woot…

Since my BFP, I’ve been “meh” about chocolate.  I’ve had it, and it’s not gross, but it’s nothing swoon-worthy like I once thought it was (and sweets in general aren’t very tempting).  I went through a week where I really wanted pizza, and had it 3 times.  Then it suddenly disgusted me and I didn’t want to see another slice.  My most recent craving as been for lettuce with vinigrette.  Not a salad with lots of stuff, just lettuce.  Though that one is starting to fade.  I had a piece of toast this morning and did the eye roll of deliciousness.  Over toast.  Very odd.

I’m 14w today so I’m curious what the future holds!

eecuadrado: I hope so, so far I’m just losing weight and it would be nice if I could at least keep it steady!

HopefulForLittleOne: Now when you’ve mentioned it – I actually wanted pizza this week for the first time in I don’t know how long! Also, yesterday I boiled pasta for dinner. It might have been like the second time since DH and I got together almost 6 years ago. So I guess I’m in a carb phase right now, wonder if the lettuce craving will kick in next?!

With both pregnancies I have had more aversions than cravings. I might crave something once, but after that it’s gone. Nothing that I want all the time.

Right now I can’t handle: cilantro, chicken, eggs, anything garlicy or with onions..anything that leaves a lasting taste in my mouth.

I’ve been on a fruit kick since getting pregnant. It used to be mangoes, but now its watermelon. I also want salt. Like kettle chips and salt and vinager fries. So really anything that has a strong flavor I’m all for. Pickles, saurkraut (this one grosses out my husband the most) olives, lemon-flavored anything, are definitely favored.

My newest craving is ice cream. I’ve been completely grossed out by all milk products until this last week so I’m guessing I’m dying for some calcium right now. I’m just 28 weeks today.

Melithehoneybee:  I’m all about milk too.  I liked it before, but now its out of control.  I think half my fridge is containers of organic milk (it keeps for a long time when still sealed, so we stock up when we buy it).  Hopefully baby will have very strong bones and I’m not setting him up to be lactose intolerant!

eecuadrado:  He also likes spicy ethnic food (with special requests for Ethiopian, Indian, and Thai), so that’s one way that he’s already like mommy 🙂

Once I wanted California rolls.  Specifically, I wanted it for the cucumber.  I don’t like cucumber.  I figured the “crab” in the California roll had similar issues to lunchmeat, so I just had an avacado/cucumber roll.  And it was wonderful.  That was a one time craving that hasn’t come back.  I bought pickles just to see if I’d love them now, but they didn’t taste any better than usual and DH finished the jar for me.

Since my bfp I was all about salt, pickles mainly (stereotypical much) but the last two weeks (I’m 37w4d) I want sweet. Mars bars and m&ms. Also all I want is a damn blueberry scone and whenever I go to go one they are sold out! I am going to give in and just make my own today.
