A gift certificate to a maternity clothes store? :) I would like it and be slightly ofended at the same time....hmm...tough one.
A gift certificate for a pregnancy massage? Or a celebration dinner?
I would recommend maybe some nice books or maybe some nice lotions of bath type things...JMO...Congrats :)
Pampering things like body lotion, pregnancy and baby books like Baby 411, Girlfriends' Guide or the AAP first 5 years book. Anything that lets them know you are thinking about them is just great :)
It's so sweet for you to send anything! I like Heathaah's idea for a prenatal massage. Or what about one of those maternity pillows like the Snoogle? She probably doesn't have one yet but will need one when she gets a little bigger.
Great suggestions, everyone. Thanks!
I do like the books or the massage or the gc to a restaurant.
Also, I do like that belly bands thing... but like the gift certificate for materinity clothes (which I won't get), will the belly band thing get you offended? Or should I not get clothing related items?
What's that belly thing for anyway? It looks like those pregnant ladies are flashing.
@MelissaBegins: You can wear your regular jeans unzipped and it holds them up. It's so you don't HAVE to buy maternity jeans. They're actually really handy! (Especially when you're not big enough for the maternity jeans, but too big for all your regular clothes.
I second the baby book idea, maybe get her something that not everyone will (pretty much EVERYONE wants to buy you What to Expect When You're Expecting...). The massage is cool, but you don't really feel the aches and pains until month 7. If there's a pregnancy calendar, you could get her that, or one of the week-by-week pregnancy books. That early on I was mostly curious about what the baby looked like and what I could expect that week (the baby's eyes are forming, the baby's feet are webbed, etc).
You should send her a Pregalates video! http://www.pregalates.com/
I love Pilates and when I am preggo I will totally get this so I can stay in shape.
I'm further along, but the #1 thing I would want would be a prental massage!
If that's outside your budget, then maybe a journal. I would worry about getting her a book, in case she already has it.
I like the pregnancy journal idea. It's a great thing to have. And the Bella Band. Every pregnant lady can use one, at all the different stages. I would not be offended at all by that.......and the GC for a celebration dinner! That's my favorite idea!

Hi all,
I just found out this weekend that my brother and his girlfriend are expecting. I hear she is 3 months along. I'm excited. I'm going to be an aunt again!
They had a dinner with my family this weekend but I wasn't able to go because I live on the west coast. [and the dinner was on the east coast :( ]
Anyway, I'm thinking about sending my brother and his girlfriend a baby package of some sort.
I know later there will be a shower where I can send clothes (because it's too soon at this point) and such but what about a little thinking of you package.
If you were/are 3 months pregnant, what would you want?
Thanks, in advance, bees!
ETA: This will be their first.
