i am having a bit of a weird pregnancy symptom, so i thought i would check in with you ladies to see if anyone had experienced something similar or had any knowledge about it. so, i’m about 26 weeks pregnant and of course my boobs are huge now. i started out as a 32DD, and am now a 34 F/G. the weirdness is that one boob is not only significantly bigger (a cup size), but also the skin is reddish and warm to the touch. it’s not feverishly hot, it’s not rash-like, it’s just flushed and warm. but only one boob. part of me thinks this is just one of the many weird out of control things that happen to your body, but another part of me wonders if there is any cause for concern?
any thoughts, or general discussion about the weird take-over pregnancy does on your body, are welcome!

Hmm, well I haven’t experienced one being bigger than the other, but mine both did get hot to the touch for about 2 weeks very early in my pregnancy..but I don’t know if it could be something more than just a normal preg symptom..others may know more. If it continues to be red I’d probably get it checked by a nurse/midwife just in case.

@ms. fondue: I have heard many women having one boob bigger than the other during pregnancy…I actually think one of mine is bigger at the moment, but I’m not sure. As far as the rash and warm like temperature, I would call my doctor.

@ms. fondue: *hangs head in shame* yeeaah the one boob bigger than the other is me. It’s normal I think…i’ve heard of it many times. The hot, red rash may be a problem. I’d call and ask if maybe the doctor would like to see you.

I think the same thing happened to me around 25/26 weeks. It eventually moved onto the other boob. They both grew seperately but I believe are about the same size now. I was also very itchy and red, I just thought it might have been from all the blood flow.

thanks everyone for the responses! just to be clear, there is NO RASH, it’s just reddish skin and warm to the touch.
@roxy821: so good to know i’m not the only one to go through it!! and good to hear it sort of evens out eventually …
@TurtleDoves: haha — it is SO WEIRD! AND bra shopping is much more complicated with one bigger boob!

@ms. fondue: Though there is no rash, I’d just check with your doctor anyway. Doesn’t hurt to check, right?
On another note, my right boob has always been a bit bigger than my left, and pregnancy has made that even more clear! Yay :o)
