I’m 21 weeks pregnant and planning my wedding for approximately 3 months after baby is born. I have a dress I want to order, but I’m not sure when to do it. I have a couple concerns:
- My body is doing all sorts of changing right now and I’m hoping to lose weight after baby. What size would I order right now?
- If I wait to order, they may not have my dress I want when I go to order it. What then?
- Also if I wait to order, what if it doesn’t make it here in time?
I’m ordering my dress because I want a medieval dress/wedding and you can’t find that in a store. Any advice?

Three months is enough time to lose some of the baby weight. Order your dress a size bigger than what you are now and they can alter it down if needed.

I was pretty much back to my normal size at 3 months out but everyone is different.

If you are looking at a medieval style, any chance the dress has (or could be made with) a lace-up bodice? Medieval/renaissance-style dresses can be a lot more forgiving than many other styles of wedding dress when it comes to size.

It does have a lace-up bodice, so I was thinking it would have a lot of leeway in sizing, but my fiancé is concerned. Thanks for the help, ladies!
