msmaddox:  Well, that would put you in the November Mama’s thread which is here.

http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/november-2014-babies-part-1/#axzz2vQXsAsy8

These are all women who are also due in November. I’m in the October Mama’s group because I’m due about a month before you. I’m almost 9 weeks. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I don’t foresee you fitting in your dress if it’s fitted around your abdomen. I think a majority of the October Mamas are already having to wear maternity pants because our jeans don’t fit. I would probably go to your seamstress and see if there’s any way she can let your dress out some. Obviously everyone is different and some people won’t see a big difference that early. But when it comes to a very fitted dress like a wedding dress I just think it will be way more obvious than in some clothes. Maybe you could post you in your dress, and it may help us see if it could work. I know that I already wouldn’t fit in my wedding dress at this point and especially not at 14 weeks. But mine was very fitted.

msmaddox:  That’s good that you have extra fabric to work with then! I would go to a seamstress and just tell her your situation and see what she thinks. Your bumb should be pretty small, so I think you could accomodate it.

msmaddox:  First off, congrats! Since you’ve been pregnant before, do you remember how much you showed at 14 weeks? I had just started to have trouble fitting in my normal pants at 14 weeks, and I think I could’ve worn a tight-fitting wedding dress, but it would’nt have been comfortable! Since it’s your second pregnancy, you’ll probably show sooner. It sounds like your dress is a little big, so that’s good! I wouldn’t worry about it, the wedding will be fine, it sounds like you are just freaking out that you’re pregnant, which is pretty normal! 🙂 Have your told your fiance yet???? Big congrats to you, it WILL all work out fine, wedding-wise!

How thin are you and what’s your dress like. I just googled baby belly at 14 weeks and it looks like most people have a small bumb, but very skinny people had something more noticable.

If you’re dress still needs alterations, could you try it on with one of those bump simulator things? That way you can figure out IF it will fit with the little belly. Then get it altered last minute to make sure it fits.

At least you will be pass the first trimester and should hopefully be over the major morning sickness phase.

I think a dress fitting is the least of your worries. I just miscarried on my wedding day, a very much wanted pregnancy, and that followed 2 other miscarriages. Concentrate on the positives. I wish I had that problem. 🙁

Best of luck!

My friend got married at 13 or 14 weeks pregnant and you couldn’t tell- her dress still fit perfectly. Everyone carries differently. I don’t think you could really tell I was pregnant at 13 or 114 weeks- and I have gained a ton ofweight this pregnancy.

msmaddox:  You already know EDD – Estimated Delivery Date. MS- Morning sickness. BFP/BFN Big fat positive or big fat negative. POAS- Pee on a stick. Generally there are more having to do with getting pregnant or issues with fertility, since they shorten long medical terms. You already are pregnant so you don’t have to worry about those. Once you are pregnant I don’t think there really are that many. Post any you don’t know and we can let you know. I get not wanting to thread jack someone talking about PCOS, but you can put a bunch here and people can tell you. There are terms too. Rainbow baby – pregnancy after a miscarriage. Generally lots of things are brand names too. PNP- pack n play, you might see FP for fisher price. RnP Rock N Play. Things like that.
