@Mrs.Enne: i'm sooo very NEWLY pregnant so I am not sick or too tired yet....but I am going to milk the pregnant lady cravings thing to the max and make hubby get all my favorite chocolates. Were going to Vegas for a week but that's a few days after v-day....no wine for me. No hot bubble baths....:( I am even kind of scared to have sex....so v-day should be interesting haha
I plan on laying on the couch like a beached whale and staring longingly at the wine rack!
Just kidding...sort of! We do have dinner reservations at a nice restaurant for the weekend after. But on Feb 14th, he has basketball and I have yoga! We also decided no gifts because baby is getting expensive!!!
I've been considering trying my hand at making cannoli's b/c DH LOVES them and they cannot be found where we live AND maybe playing some "game of love" that I found on pinterest.... IF I can manage to get it made in time. lol
It's cost effective (since preparing for baby ISN'T) and I can stay in! woohoo! lol
My FIL is coming next week, so we're leaving our daughter with him and going out to a fancy dinner at a steakhouse. :) We haven't done anything like this in like 2 years (since I was pregnant with DD), and we hardly ever leave DD, so I am beyond excited. I plan on eating all the steak and chocloate desserts my very squished tummy can handle!
Nada.
My husband is not a fan of Valentine's day and I don't really care so we never celebrate it. And this year my MIL and niece will be flying in that day to spend 2 weeks with us. So definitely no plans :)
@TurtleDoves: lol, this is great! Have fun in Vegas, sorry about the wine, but from what I've heard sex is okay, right?
@amnystik: ooo, if you have any extra cannolis, send some my way ;)
@heathaah: haha! is it prenatal yoga or did you just continue your regular class?
@Mrs. Spring: aww, that sounds nice!
@regberadaisy: DH and I didn't celebrate vday until we got engaged. Then for some reason I got into it, lol. Have fun with your family!
Anyone else? Bump!
I think my husband is going to be cooking for me (better than any restaurant!) and then I'll be giving him some dessert ;-)
We are celebrating on Saturday.. just out to dinner and a movie.. but it will probably be our last date for a while, since the baby should be here very soon!! We're excited :) :)
My husband will be working nights on Valentine's day, so I plan to curl up on the couch in my pj's with some take-out. It will be just what I want to do (minus the missing husband). I'll probably go to bed early, too. :)
@Mrs.Enne: It is prenatal. I love it! I had actually never taken yoga before so I can't compare it to "regular" yoga. But it has definately been helpful. I highly recommend it!
@heathaah: Ditto!
We are going out to dinner the following weekend (when we will be out of town) and are taking a mini babymoon at the end of the month, so no real plans for VDay. Probalby just a night at home.
DH asked me if I'd like some jewelry or something nice for Vday - I vetoed. We have so many expenses coming up!
I think myself, DH, my neighbor and her husband are all going to have dinner and play a board game or something. I'll be 34 weeks pregnant and she'll be 28 weeks pregnant so neither of us really felt like doing to much.
I am also very newly pregnant and terrified to have sex :/I haven't told DH that yet I have just been making excuses :(. I will need to get over that soon. Anyways we are going to dinner and a movie next weekend since it will be CRAZY this weekend with everyone else doing there V Day stuff. We usually go to our favorite bar and have a few drinks but we are obviously skipping that this year.
We're doing something the following weekend too--(just dinner and a movie, but it will probably be our last real date before the baby) but as for Valentines Day, I have 2 doctors appointments, and he's working nights, so it won't be much of anything.
We vetoed gifts as well, but I cut out a bunch of hearts and wrote something I loved about him on each one. Then, Monday night when I inevitably can't sleep, I'll tape them to the front door. (Might as well put that pregnancy sleeping trouble to good use!) That way, he'll be able to see them when he wakes up in the morning. During pregnancy, SO MUCH is focused on the woman and the baby, and lots of Dads get pushed to the side. But he has been so amazing and helpful, I couldn't let it pass without telling him so.
Plus, pregnancy makes me extra-mushy.
Hubs is making me dinner as well. I've already made my special requests :) Then I think we'll probably go to a movie and head home for some lovin'
Not a blessed thing! He's up to his eyeballs in work into March, pretty much, so he's barely home at all. We're planning a weekend in galway in march though, our last alone getaway for some time, I'd imagine!

So I'm not pregnant, but I'm curious! (Hoping to be pregnant this time next year.) I realized that V-Day is right around the corner and I wonder if y'all are planning on doing anything different. Any special plans? Just want to sleep, lol? :)
