We have talked about names a good bit. I actually printed out the top 100 names for boys and girls from We are kind of traditional in what we like and figured we would probably pick one from the top 100 anyway…

We do not know the gender yet so the names may change 🙂

Right now we like Anna Claire and Olivia Kate for girls. For boys we are a little more stuck but like Clark (my maiden name) Jack and Collin. I love Oliver for a middle name but might use Richard because it is a family name on his side.

For me choosing a name for our child is just about the most important decision we will make. I dont think its ever too early to start thinking about it!

DH and I have picked our names before we were PG.

If it’s a boy his name will be Noah Gregory Griffin (His dad’s name and my deceased grandfather’s name).

If it’s a girl she will be Quinn Elizabeth (my mom’s name and his grandma’s name).

I’ve been compiling a list since before we were married. Here are some that DH are interested in. Keith & Lauren are front-runners right now:

@MrsRugbee:  I love love love your names!

It’s so early that we haven’t really talked about it but we put together a spreadsheet of names a while ago and here are the names that have stuck.

Dominic (DH likes this one way more than I do)

Penelope (DH likes this one more than I do, too. I think it will be too popular)

Claire (but only if I change my last name. Still undecided about that)

Haha my DH would not talk about names right at first..drove me crazy. Finally as we got into the 2nd trimester we finally started picking, and now I think we have one picked for sure. Here were our favorites (98% sure we are naming our baby boy Brycen William):

Girls: Haylee Jo, Harper Jo,

Boys: Brycen William, Braxton William, Caleb James, Henry Douglas

Names that I liked that DH hated:
Girls: Payton, Riley

Boys: Rylan, Carson

So I like trendy names. SHOOT ME! Haha… I don’t know why everyone makes SUCH a big stink about this on WB…”OMG you can’t use that name it’s too popular.” WHO CARES!  I think you should pick a name based on if YOU like it, not how much other people like it.  Besides, if it is a popular name, that probably means it’s a good name! I see some very strange names on here that people just LOVE bc they are either almost non-existant, they made them up, etc. etc. but they are SO unique!  No thank you, I would like people to be able to recognize and pronounce my kids’ names!  Just my 2 cents, though, so once again, you just really have to go with whatever you like best and not worry about anyone else’s opinion…especially here on WB! What I did was get a baby name book and read names aloud that I thought sounded good and if it sounded good coming out of my mouth with our last name, it got considered.  There were VERY few, though, I probably read through about 800 boy names (we already had our girl name picked as Haylee).  Good luck!

ETA: We had no intentions of naming our child after anyone in our family, at least for the first name.  My middle name is Jo and DH’s middle name is William, so we decided to just continue on with those for middle names (the other ones I have are family relations, but we decided against it so as to no offend one side or the other).

We only wanted CLASSIC names that would stand the test of time, so we kept looking at lists of the top 100 names from like 1950! A lot of them have fallen out of style by now, but so many are just as classic now as they were back then. Definitely a great place to look for inspiration if you’re not into trendy names. Our daughter will be named Audrey Elizabeth 🙂

Here are the names we’re currently considering:

Ella, Madison, Caroline, Evie, Sage, Madeline, Reagan, Sophie

Jack, Jackson, Clinton, Troy, Brooks

For some reason we both have it in our head that we’ll be having a girl so we have more girls names right now than boys! Guess we’ll find out which it will be soon enough!

I was the girl who had a list of names ready for the discussion with DH about naming our baby. A lot of them he vetoed right away and I wont lie, I got upset.

However, one night Dh was just looking through a website of baby names and just picked one. I said ‘you know, I actually really like that name.’ He said he did too and from then on we started referencing our baby girl by her name.

She will be Adelaide Joy

We are not even thinking about namez u til we know the sex in a few weeks.  Then we will start talking about it.  We will agree on a couple and then pick the one that best fits the baby once we finally see him/her.

We agreed on a name in the first couple weeks. That was the easy part. Agreeing on what her coming home outfit is, is a different story ;p
