Massage gift certificate! I’m not pregnant yet but I know I’d love one pregnant or not!

Massage is a great idea, just make sure the place does pregnancy massage, along with a pedi/mani would be great.  Maybe also a GC to a fav restaurant or see if she currently has any cravings and put those in there too 🙂

@westcoast_girl:  I think a giftcard to a local grocery store would be fun with a note about for pregnancy cravings, maybe a few cans of ginger ale, like you said mints and/or lemon helped with my nausea also. They make the stretch cream lotion which I used obsessively. If you think she’d be offended by this then I wouldn’t go that route, but i loved that stuff. They also make pregnancy journal things where you describe how you’re feeling, document ultrasounds and important appointments, put pictures, etc. I have one and it’s already fun to look back at!

ETA: By lemon, I mean lemon candies. And the ginger ale is for nausea, also. 🙂

I also just thought, maybe a cute water bottle? You have to drink so much water every day so I had mine with me everywhere.

My BFF just sent me a pregnancy basket and I loved it!  She included a soft pair of PJ bottoms in a size bigger than my regular size, some cocoa butter, the book “belly laughs” by Jenny McCarthy (also a Dad book for DH), my favorite candy, sleeve of saltine crackers and some tums!  She also wrote a little message to me and baby inside the book (and her hubby wrote a message in the book to my DH).

Maybe some belly lotion/oil, a gift card to a pizza place/restaurant, maybe some snacks like granola bars.  Maternity leggings.  Maybe a good pregnancy book, if you know what she has already.

I have been logging my pregnancy in From Pea to Pumpkin. It’s super cute so I’d include that. Dunno about the lavendar salts, some people aren’t comfortable taking baths because the temp has to be low, and lavendar is strong smelling so if her smeller is sensitive like many of ours are, she may  not like that. Definitely include the body butter, and maybe “Preggy Pops” they’re little ginger hard candies for nausea. If you have the budget, a GC for prenatal massage is great, she will definitely need one at some point.

Cocoa butter.  Maybe “What to Expect when You’re Expecting” or “You: Having a Baby” or some other book.  Love the idea of a journal so she can document her experience.  Gift certificate for a mani/pedi would be great too!

Also “The Girlfriend’s Guide to Pregnancy” was my favorite book!
