Going on a babymoon soon, and will be 32 weeks at the time. First baby and so far NO STRETCH MARKS (thank the baby Jesus!). I feel like an ass spending a bunch of money on a swimsuit I’ll never wear again, not to mention maternity suits are pretty dang frumpy.
That said, I have this fear that a mother will walk up to me and tell me I should be ashamed of myself and to cover up.

@drlolaz: If anyone (ESPECIALLY a mother) comes up to you and tell you to be ashamed of yourself, they would officially be the biggest dickhad in the world. I really don’t get the shame in flaunting a big belly (on a beach, not a bar). Is there anything more beautiful than a pregnant woman?!
Go for it. You are growing a baby. Fuck ’em.

For me, it would all come down to the individual. Does the swim suit fit the girl’s body? Does she look comfortable? But at the end of the day, it really doesn’t affect my beach experience. I notice the person and think “she looks awesome” or “she should buy a bigger suit” and go back to my business without another thought to them.
And this is all the same on if the person is pregnant or not. I’ve seen a lot of really cute pregnant bellies that make me jealous.

@drlolaz: I’ve seen lots of pregnant women wearing bikinis in the past and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it at all. I say rock your bikini on your babymoon!

i don’t think OMG THATS SO AWESOME and i also don’t think OMG that’s horrible they should be covered or anything. not sure what i’ll do.

I’m due in August so I will definitely be wearing a (comfortable, well-fitting) bikini at least 50% of the time.

I’m not gonna lie…99% of the time when I’m on the beach I’m too busy being self concious about whether I look good, and don’t have time to worry about anyone else, lol.
If you’re comfortable, go for it.

I think its cute especially if you keep your legs and arms toned, there is no good way to wear a bathing suit while pregnant might as well rock it!

@drlolaz: I don’t wear bikinis, I am way to shy,but I can’t wait to be preggies, cause I will be wearing a different bikini everyday in the Summer! Pregnant woman in bikinis are super beautiful.GO FOR IT!

I think it’s cute but i also think it’s flaunting something that feels private, to me. That cute bump would look just as cute in a VS tankini Or something similar. Idk…it just seems like the belly and baby are for the couple to see and enjoy, not for the world. Comes across as mildly attention-seeking and inappropriate, but not hugely so.
Personaly, when I’m pregnant someday, I’m going to find a cute tankini to wear So i can show off the bump but still be a but more covered. No frumpy suits tho!

I think it’s adorable as long as it fits well. Wearing a super tiny one that just looks like it’s digging in would probably make me think hmm, but something well fitted would be adorable.

I think pregnant ladies in bikinis look adorabe, beautiful, and comfortable. It’s not vulgar at all. You’re pregnant, not ugly, naked, or anything negative.
As long as the bikini fits pretty well, and the lady is comfortable that’s all that matters. That goes for ladies who aren’t pregnant, too, in most cases.
I don’t think a pregnant belly is something that is private, just for the couple, and needs to be hidden away, either. What the woman wants and is comfortable with is what’s important. If she doesn’t want everyone seeing it, that’s fine. If she’s ok showing it, that’s fine too.

I don’t really think it’s that big of a deal. Unless she has hit mammoth status & is one big stretch mark with an outtie belly button, then I probably would barely even notice.

@drlolaz: If you would normally wear/feel comfortable in a bikini I definitely don’t think pregnancy should change that! I would never think anything of a pregnant woman in a bikini (other than how cute she looks!)

@sara_tiara: haha +1!!! totally agree, I’d think the cute pregnant woman looked better in her bikini than I did in mine!
