It totally won't be a big deal! My SIL was 7 months pregnant at our wedding and was super cute. She bought a convertable black dress, we gave her a coordinating sash, and she blended right in.
Figure this--people will go up to her and compliment her, but hey, you can't talk to everyone during every single second of your wedding, which leaves plenty of time for people to talk to her. I think your FI may just be a little jealous he's not the first sibling, haha. I've heard this rivalry go around a little bit in DH's family. My opinion? Who cares! =]
That's great for her, and I'm happy to hear that you are happy with the news and not upset about it like many brides would be! My sister and my FSIL are my 2 bridesmaids and both of them are pregnant right now (due 1 month apart). It sounds funny saying all my bridesmaids are pregnant lol. They will both deliver this summer, so neither will be pregnant at our October wedding, but we found out that a both of them were expecting about a month after we got engaged so suddently that threw the bridesmaid dress search into super high gear and top priority so we could find a dress for them before they started showing lol
@ ejs4y8 - Thanks for sharing your photos! The dress your BM is wearing is so cute! I know my FI might be a little jealous, just because she gets everything from their parents out of the 4 of them (I mean everything, furniture, hand-me-down stuff, etc) so her baby will be pretty spoiled (of course by me too because i always spoil babies hehe)
@rawrkitty - wow! well that's good that you got them fitted before they started showing lol That's the thing with it now is we don't know how big she'll be in 5 1/2 months from now :-P
I'm excited for her & her husband! And I know if she "takes the spotlight" at the wedding, it'll pretty much be with her distant family that they rarely see (whom i barely know) & I'll be preoccupied with tons of other stuff so I don't really care too much about that. i know it's my FI & my day & I know everyone else knows that too :-)
I'd like to see more pics if anyone has any of their pregnant BM's. Still trying to figure out what kind of dress/separates she might want to go with.
My SIL was seriously 8+ months pregnant - and she looked great! She is naturally thin but she really looked beautiful. The one piece of advice I would give is that she find a seamstress and make friends with them -- she's going to need some help with the dress. We had my SIL fitted a few times within the month before the wedding - the last time being literally 5 days before - because the size of a pregnant woman changes so much so quickly. I'll look for photos for you now.

Yeah, it's gonna be so unpredictible with her because she is so tiny (probably a size 0 if not smaller lol) but who knows how big she'll actually get. I'm using David's Bridal so I was just going to talk to them about it & see what they say. Although I can't always trust them. they either give you great service or sucky service :-P
I just found out last week that one of my BM is expecting too!!! I am sooo happy for them, this is their second child (their first is my godson). She will be about 6mos. at the wedding and I'm sure she will look fabulous on the big day with the little baby bump! Good thing we haven't purchased dresses yet either :)

I just found out today that my co-MOH is pregnant! She said she's 7 wks & the wedding is in Oct, so she'll be somewhere around 7 months pregnant for the big day. She hasn't gotten or picked out her dress yet (thankfully) so I suggested she might want to go with separates rather than a dress & she likes that idea. Plus the dress she did originally want is no longer available in the color. Oh, she's my future sister-in-law, so my FH says that she'll take over the spotlight at our wedding (she's definitely the spoiled one in their family & now the first to have a baby of the 4 siblings). But I'm not really that worried about it. I knew she wanted to be the first of them to have a baby & I knew she was trying to get pregnant, so at least she braced me for it :-P
Anyway, no questions or anything, I just found out today so I wanted to uh.. not vent, but just write about it somewhere :-P
