I switched to gummies last week. Amazing! Why didn’t I do this from the get-go?

I’m like you, and I can’t swallow the big vitamins any more without majorly gagging, which sets the vomit train in motion… not good.

I’m taking Vitafusions. They were the only kind I could find in my drug store. They taste good!

@PrncssDva:   They are complete prenatal’s and my Dr. said they were a good option.

The only thing they don’t have is Iron.  If you want to take an additional supplement you can, but if you’re not deficient it shouldn’t be a big deal.

@PrncssDva:  They look complete to me; the only thing they don’t have is iron. If my doc finds that I’m anemic, I’ll have to add a supplement, I guess.

ETA: duh, just saw that @KateByDesign just said the same thing! 🙂

I did gummies for a few weeks but found I couldn’t stand the sugary substance on them after this. I ended up switching to a gel cap. It’s big, but somehow I take it without issues (normally I gag at big pills too). I always take it right before bed.

Mine were vitafusion as well. I also believe they don’t have calcium either (others mentioned iron already).

@PrncssDva:  I switched to gummies. I love them. Just check the facts on them because the ones I take have no iron in them. I had to buy a low-dose iron supplement to take with the gummy.

I, too, am taking Vita-Fusion gummy vitamins.  My doctor said that were fine, and she was glad they had DHA.  I’m also anemic, and for that I take Nature Plus chewable Iron supplements.  I took both in, and she said they were fine to take as well.  Good luck!

@PrncssDva:   I don’t think so.  The reason they are gummies and without iron are so they don’t upset your stomach.  Iron is what makes you nauseous and sick to you stomach.

@PrncssDva:  I have to take gummies. I can do max one pill in the morning and one at night and its ridiculous for me to have to remember to take them at those two times to get them in! I unfortunately learned this the hard way, buying those 6 pill packs from GNC. I would actually start throwing up it was so hard for me to get them down and cutting them into pieces didnt help, the smell of vitamins is seriously yuck.

I currently use the Vitafusion brand and some of the GNC gummy stuff. The GNC Calcium chews are sooo yummy, its like having a candy. The vitafusion is pretty similar too, tastes good but they are a little harder then a regular gummy candy. Overall, I was pleased! They have pre-natal too!

I take the Vita Fusion ones.

I may not be the best to ask though because I am not good about taking them. I have never, ever believed in the effectiveness of vitamins. I tried to be all like, well, it couldn’t hurt and gear myself up for the prenatals, but as the pregnancy went on… I just rarely take them now. I was good about in the first trimester though. I just eat well and leave it at that. I think vitamins are a scam.
