I have sold a dress on preowned wedding dress before. You just have to communicate. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Read their suggestions to safeguard yourself. There are dishonest people out there.  Use escrow.com. Ask for extra pictures etc.

I bought mine from there!  Everything worked out beautifully.  Even though the listing for the dress said no returns, after I talked to the seller, she agreed to take it back within a week or two if I got it and it didn’t fit. So don’t hesitate to ask to make some sort of return agreement if you can, even if the listing says no returns.  That made it easier for me to pull the trigger.

@MrsB2015:  I’m having trouble uploading a photo but I ordered a dress from preowned, it was a brand new dress though (the bride ended up choosing another and decided to sell this one).  I was a bit weary especially since I needed it shipped from the US to Spain.  I actually didn’t request any additional photos, it was totally a gut feeling.  It totally depends on who you deal with, I dealt with the mother of the bride and let me tell you, she was a sweetheart!  She made the process a lot easier.  I did pay with paypal AND my visa debit card so just in case it was a fraud I had two methods to fall back on.  I ordered a brand new Maggie, when it arrived it was slightly different that I imagined, basically the lace has a different texture to what I’d though it would have had but it is BEAUTIFUL nonetheless.  I am superrr happy and I got it for about 50% off which is a great price! I got an additional $150 or $200 (she was American) knocked off just because she was that nice to me (I did not request this, it was just a complete gesture of kindness).  It also arrived relatively soon.  I’m a British bee too, so I found pre-owned through google and just checked reviews.  I’m not sure what experience you’ll have but mine was really great.

@MrsB2015:

Here you go, this is the exact Maggie I ordered and I only saw about 4 of these photos (back, side, front and certificate of authenticity) and I am really pleased to say that it came in perfect condition, not a mark on it! Exactly as shown and completely brand new Smile.

@MrsB2015:  No worries, I’m glad my experience can help Smile.  The whole lace confusion was completely and my fault just because the lace I had tried on elsewhere was a little different (not so 3Dish lol) but I’m glad that I love it all the same.

Try to pay with a Visa debit or credit, I know that Barclay’s had them for a while (still might) and Natwest has them now… not sure about other banks but if for what every reason you buy something and it is a fraud you can put a claim.  It is really handy.

The way paypal works is that it extracts the money from your bank account and gives it to the other party immediately however because they have the other person’s details they can always extract it from their bank account it there is an issue and place it into yours.   The person receiving the money (a.k.a the seller) pays a 5% comission for using the service but you wouldn’t pay anything.  The only thing is that is has to be in one full payment and you have to claim within 40 days so that you can claim if there is a fraud.

Thank you, I really love this dress.  I bought a reception and ceremony dress one I saw in person (first dress I tried on) and the other online.  I am having major dress regret with the one I bought in person though.

NON OF THESE ARE ME but rather photos I’ve found online:

I just don’t know, I’m starting to feel like it isn’t what I wanted and should have waited, I’m quite gutted right now but trying not to think about it too much.  Maybe some alterations would help (maybe putting in a corset, tightening the waist and lowering the neckline).   Goes to show that ironically I chose something online that I’d never seen before and absolutely adore it.

I got my dress from preowned for a third of the price The dress was never worn/altered (still had the tags) came with a dress bag, the exact jacket I wanted and the exact veil lol.

You can find some great deals there if you already know what you want.

@MrsB2015:  Haha, sounds like a great mum!  Shouldn’t be necessary though, worst case scenario, you’ll get a full refund.  I would check with your bank just in case, I mean with paypal you should be fine but I’m just one of those people that likes a back-up plan.  Could you post photos of the dress you’re going to purchase? Would love to see it! You’ve got me all curious now haha.

I actually bought the second Pronovias one for the ceremony and the Maggie (lace) one for the reception.  I love the lace one, maybe because I’ve always loved lace mermaids and knew it would look flatter me.  I keep going back and forth on the Pronovias one though, sometimes I think it is beautiful and other times it looks outdated to me.  I’m quite fashion forward but I also like classic things, so just go back and forth.  I just really don’t want it to look outdated, so we’ll see what happens haha.
