My ceramics instructor in college told me about one of his potter friends who took a McDonalds burger and fired it on a plate in a kiln.  It was fired to cone 10 (approximately 2200 degrees Fahrenheit), and at that temperature, all organic materials burn out.

Apparently, when the plate was removed two days later, it had the most beautiful glaze you’ve ever seen in the middle.  It was COVERED in some sort of chemical crap that didn’t burn out like it should have.
