Hi everyone!  Check out my blog, "Preparing for my Catholic Marriage" on the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' website to hear my story http://foryourmarriage.blogspot.com/

You can also find lots of valuable information on planning your Catholic wedding ceremony and on preparing for the lifetime after the wedding.  Read about what the Church REALLY believes and teaches about marriage- there are so many opinions and rumors out there that just aren't quite accurate.  http://www.foryourmarriage.org/.

    Good luck and God bless!

Thank you for sharing, and I'll keep you and Daniel in my Lenten prayers! It's great to see a blog with so much discussion of preparations for marriage, not just the wedding.

What a fantastic blog!  It's nice to see other young Catholics doing the same things my husband and I did to prepare for our marriage and take them so seriously.  I think all of the preparation really helps and it's there for a reason.

I know my cousin refused to do engagement encounter and a lot of the couples  were upset about having to be there but I was excited.  The first thing they told us at the retreat was that after the weekend at least 10% of us would decide not to get married and some would even break up.  They were right and I know one couple called off their wedding by the end of the second day and a few others were teetering.

I look forward to reading more about your preparation to marry your best friend.  I know I married mine and I was glad that we took the time to really prepare ourselves for our marriage.  Yours will be just as beautiful and blessed as ours.

    Good luck and God bless.
