I feel your pain. We got married in February but with working full time, I just didn’t even want to think about it until summer break. When summer comes in I’m going to the social security office and the DMV. And my license expired this June so I did renew it already and I had to pay $48 and now I know I’m going to have to pay again when I go in July to change it. Such a headache but I’m also so excited 🙂

You’ll be just fine! 🙂

Take it one thing at a time.  Get your social and license changed first, then work your way through everything else as you can.  I still haven’t changed my name on my car insurance, because we knew we were changing companies this month when our policy expires.  I’m still finding little things now that I forgot about that I need to change.

One tip:  if they give your maiden license back (PA just punches a hole in it so it can’t be used), keep it!!  I have been able to use it as proof of a name change in a pinch, or as a back up since my car insurance is not in my correct name.  It gave me some peace of mind, and I didn’t have to carry our marriage certificate around everywhere.
