I'm in shock I'm actually going to do this!!!!

I'm a WAHM so the longest I've been away from Warren was once for about 6 hrs while hubby and I went to a football game. It  wasn't hard for me but I was only 10 minutes from home! I leave all the time for 2 or so hours to workout or run errands - but a majority of the time I'm with him!

We just booked a Snowboarding trip to Utah and I have six weeks to prepare myself mentally (and physically)! Luckily my mom will be in charge (yay Grandparents!) so that'll be comforting. We'll be gone 5 nights and he'll be 7 months old.

    My two biggest fears:

~ He'll get used to the bottle (right now he maybe gets a bottle 2x/wk) and not want the 'boob' when we get back.

~ Something bad will happen when we're gone. (I hope as long as I keep my mind from 'going there' and imagining crazy things this won't crush my mental state and worry me the whole time!)

How was your first trip away from your little one? Any tips to comfort mom :) I'm pretty sure they'll be tears at some point! If not multiple points!

Focus on the opportunity to re-ignite the realtionship with your husband.

I have no advice.  We're not planning on leaving Addie... ever.  We joke we're going to live in her college dorm room with her.  :)

The first time my sister left my nephew for a few days, it was tough.  She missed him a lot, but they "talked" on the phone multiple times a day, and I think that helped.  Could you Skype with your parents during your trip?  Seeing Warren daily might help with missing him so much.

Also no advice, except that Snowbird has daycare for little ones so parents can ski all day!  It's the only daycare Cecilia has ever been to and she did pretty well.  We got to ride for 2 hours.  And that's the longest she's ever been away from both of us at once!

We're taking our little one with us to Hawaii later this month.  I'm not sure how we're going to do all of our fun activities, but we're going with friends so we can do a babysitting exchange!
