So both my daughter (10) and I have straight as can be hair, athough as I’ve gotten older my hair holds curl a little better. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions for the morning of the wedding of what to put in my hair and any particular way to blow dry it before hair and makeup arrives? I was thinking of just putting in mousse and blow drying upside down to give it more volume and better hold. Same for my daughter.
FYI the salon owner told me not to put anything in it but I think that my daughter’s hair in particular needs something.

I have naturally curly hair but my 12 year old daughter has straight hair. Before getting her hair done for big events, they’ve always told me not to wash it the day of. The hair’s natural oils will hold the style/curls a lot better.

make sure it’s product dirty, one of my bridesmaids has really straight hair and she washed it, dried it and put product in it and it and when the stylists came all they had to do was curl it and it turned out awesome.

I have fine straight hair too and curl my hair for work every other day. This is usually into beachy waves using a “You Curl” iron.
I wash my hair (perhaps a few people would advise not too but I like working with clean hair) and the I pop through a good bit of mousse (usually one that gives you volume etc), then heat defence spray and then I blow dry, set to work with my curlers and spray with hairspray to hold. My curl lasts all day and usually through into the next morning before washing again 🙂

@skyeatnight: Thanks, I think that is what I’ll do. Wash, mousse, dry and we should be good to go. 🙂 Appreciate your help!
