Where specifically do I velcro before washing? There’s 3 separate places to velcro (6 including the partner). I’m looking for a detailed pic or video. Seems simple doesn’t it? I should ask a live person but if you are available and can explain. I was hoping to get them in the wash this morning. *I have BumGenius 4.0 but I’m pretty sure they’re similar to most.

ah yes. The BG people will just say fasten the tabs to the laundry tabs… but which ones are those? They are the velcro strips in the back inside of the diaper. You should see a fuzzy soft aplix strip on each side. Make sure to fasten well or you’ll end up with a diaper ball.
To prep we did a soak cycle then a regular cycle with diaper detergent (about half the amount recommended) then another rinse.
Hopefully this explains well enough. We have the 3.0s.
BTW BG came out with prints today 🙂

Thanks for the heads up for the new prints! How exciting!! I thought they were so great so I just ordered one of each. 🙂 Then we will have a total of 20 CD to start with. Plus a bunch of disposables that were handed down.
And sorry, I still don’t know what to do. Do I connect the velcro side wings to the velcro laundry tabs? Then what do I do with the front velcro? Am I missing something here? I feel like they all should be attached to something or folded a certain way. I just don’t want to mess the darn things up on the first wash.
I plan to air dry. So I may as well ask…I undo all the velcro then, right?
Oh and I plan to throw all the liners in the same batch of wash too. Or am I asking for a velcro fuzz problem if I do that?

See, this is why I went with the snaps. I can’t even wash MB’s bibs without the velcro destroying themselves, so I said to hell with that and opted for the 4.0 BG with snaps. (I know I’ll regret that later when she’s all squirmy and I can’t snap them on!)

The front velcro is the soft stuff and doesn’t need to be fastened. It’s just the prickly stuff that makes up the wings 🙂

Oh yes, I see! ..So I just have to protect the prickly stuff from disaster! 🙂 Thanks so much.
I got a few CD with snaps (BG organics) just to check them out but thought velcro might be easier (faster/less painful) for us to start with.
