- Wedding: September 2011
Bridesmaids are getting:
– Personalized wine glass
– Jewelry to wear on the day of
– Maybe a few mini liquor bottles
– Personalized hanger
– (Fun fascinator for the bachelorette party)
Groomsmen are getting:
– Personalized beer glass
– Tie for wedding day
– A few mini liquor bottles
Here’s my question: Should we give them everything the night of the rehearsal dinner? My intention is to have them all use their personalized glass at the wedding reception (they will get free drinks with their glass). So I like the idea of sort of surprising them by having the glasses set up at the head table when we go to sit down. I don’t want to give them their glasses at the rehearsal dinner because then they have to cart them back to the hotel, then bring them to the reception too. (Or can I request them “back” and then have them set up the next night at the reception like planned?)
For the bm’s, I’m thinking of giving them their hanger at the bridal shower/bach party with their fascinator, because all are buying their own dress so they’ll be bringing it themselves. It would make sense for them to bring their dress to the wedding day with their personalized hanger, right?
Here’s the problem with putting the glasses on the tables. I think it would be neat to “stuff” the other things (jewelry, ties) in the glasses to give as a gift. So then I need to find a way to package the other things I guess, then the gift seems SO LITTLE if I only give them jewelry and the tie at the rehearsal.
What do you think?
