I don’t have mine yet, but I bought both a peplum top and a smocked top to wear for my engagement shoot, eith jeans and boots.  Loved how I looked!

I wore a navy dress that has an ivory and coral design on the bottom of the dress. My partner wore khaki pants and a coral polo shirt. Here are some of our pics:

mrsdevries:  I think your outfit sounds nice. Just remember that fall = COLOR! Warm, earthy colors. Too often I see fellow plus-sized brides feel like they must go the “black basic outfit with funky accessories” look to not chunk out, when really, curvy girls look great in all colors! Maybe a nice sweater in an autumnal color that suits your skintone (maroon? burnt sienna? mustard yellow? aubergine? depends on your coloration), infinity scarf, jeans, boots.

I’m sure you’ll look lovely regardless!

My FI and I are fairly casual people, so we wore jeans, boots and tops for our wintery engagement shoot. We really loved how they turned out, and we were both really comfortable. I was anxious about looking too pear shaped and curvy, but am pleased with our results.

And added our winter coats when the sun was setting.

blt982:  Aw- thanks, we really love that photo… The colours all work really well. If I had a dollar for every time I’ve had a compliment on my coat, I’d have paid for it twice over!  Haha!

It was an end-of-season bargain from a store called Portmans here in Australia. It was $199 down to $99 and I got it for an additional 50% off! I knew I had to have it when I saw it. It was an added compliment as I am a plus sized girl, currently losing weight, and it was my very first purchase from Portmans, who are known for being small fit.

we are using our engagement pictures for our save the dates. We are really laid back goofballs so we didn’t do fancy anything… Future husband wore his favorite ripped 10 year old shorts and I wore my favorite jean skirt (we are both kind of famous, or infamous for these two signature articles of clothing lol) and shirts to match our wedding colors. 🙂

I’ve always loved the nice dark jeans with a dress shirt look on guys for ‘dressy casual’.

mrsdevries:  I like your outfit choices, especially the black dress! we’re doing pro pics at the end of October and we’re doing a plaid theme.

We did some pictures this summer where we were living up north. I kept our outfits pretty simple. My FI is def the t-shirt and work pants guy, it was a mission to get him into a dress shirt. You caan’t go wrong with jeans and a white dress shirt, always looks great!

Here’s a couple of our pics!

I LOVE that yellow dress, I feel like it fit me snug up top then puffed out so my hips didn’t look so huge!

It was fun wearing a flowy dress too! The only down side is sometimes the wind caught it at a weird angle and it made my mid section look HUGE, something to consider if it’s windy out. Also, it’s all self perception.

Check out that hottie 😉 I suppose I’m biased, but I think my FI looks GREAT!
