Congrats! I don't know the answer to the question, but I don't think it's out of line to ask the photog. What magazine?? I'd love to see the spread!

That's awesome! Im not sure if you get $ for it but its great advertising for the photog to show off his beautiful photo's. Did you do anything out of the ordinary to make your wedding stand out to get it in the magazine? From reading those "real wedding" storys there is always creative different non traditional photo's and stories. Congrats!
I dont think they are compensated. Mine has been looked at by a few magazines, and that was in most of the wording. I'm just going to ask my photog for a free Love session or something as compensation (she offered that up.) I'd not ask though, its an honor to be picked
i work in the industry and the people who are featured in the stories are not compensated. The only person who may even be compensated is the photographer or the person who write up the piece.
Maybe your photographer can compensate you in some way since it was your awesome wedding they photographed that got their work in the magazine. ;) How exciting, though, to have your wedding in a magazine, for me that would be payment enough!

Hey Ladies -
I just found out my wedding got picked up by a bridal magazine as part of their "real weddings" series. My photographer submitted the pics and surprised me with the news. Super exciting of course, but I am curious - do bridal magazines usually compensate the couples they feature? I don't want to ask if it's totally unheard of.
