three weeks ago, i came home from an exam and my fiance and every item he has ever owned were gone. no note, no explanation, nothing..only a brief email a few days later saying he was sorry and needed time. we were engaged for a year, planned on having a destination wedding this spring, but we hadn’t finalized any details because of monetary reasons. we have been together for three years…our relationship was enviable and we really didn’t have any problems, just small things everyone deals with. we always got along extremely well and hardly fought. he had problems with his self esteem, and lied compulsively at the beginning of the relationship, but we got through that quite well. how does a woman get over this type of situation?

@turkos: WHAT?! Oh my gosh I’m so sorry you have to go through that right now. Personally, I would contact a good friend of his, or his mom or dad. Maybe thats crazy but thats what I would do. I wouldn’t normally condone this sort of thing, but I think in this circumstance, its more than understandable.
If he has a history of lieing, I’m guessing its guaranteed that there is more to this story than you now know. You are owed more than a goddamn email. He needs to tell you in person why he would stoop to such a level. I think the only way you can move on from such a situation, is at least an explaination to start with.
What an “A hole”
