You're VERY welcome! I'm so glad that you found some great deals!!! Yippee! :)
I also used Miss Glitter's post to take the priceline leap for the first time. We got a great hotel for $45 for an overnight getaway to Iowa City. I will definetly use Priceline again.
Priceline got us last-minute flights back to HI to visit my parents for $300 less than the listed price at other sites -- and this was in the middle of summer last year!
I think as long as you're willing to be pretty flexible with your times/dates/airports possibly, they have some great deals for flights. I'd be willing to try them for hotels too, thanks to the reviews here!
Wow! DH and I are making plans to head out to Florida in about a month. I'll have to try priceline and see what deals we can get for flights! Thanks for sharing bees!
Those are some awesome deals!
I book a lot of last minute flights & I was advised to avoid Priceline. Apparently too many people have been stranded at one time or another. If there is a problem with the flight/cancellation due to plane problems, etc the airline won't directly deal with you because Priceline is the company who actually purchased the ticket. Priceline apparently doesn't have a good rep for customer service either...
I'm curious to see how many bees have actually purchased flights with Priceline!
For anyone who missed my post (and don't want to search through the archives) here is the link to the Priceline tips: http://www.weddingbee.com/2009/01/29/mr-gs-guide-to-priceline-bidding/.
Hope it helps!
@Recessionista Bride: I've never used Priceline to book a flight. But, some of the responders to my post had similar experiences to what you've heard.

After reading Miss Glitter's great Priceline post, I decided to use Priceline to book hotel rooms for our road trip this summer. I ended up getting GREAT deals - $70 for the Hyatt Regency in Chicago! Rooms there (for our dates) are going to $200+ a night, so I am thrilled with our win. We also got a hotel room an hour ourside of Chicago for $40 a night - it's a 4 star Embassy Suites with rooms starting at $120 a night.
Just wanted to pass that along - and say THANKS Miss Glitter!!!!
