My bridesmaids wore the Dessy After Six brand dress style 6553 in Flame and we paid about $135 each.  Definitely find them and order them online – way cheaper than through a bridal retailor.  The cheapest we could get them through a retailor was $185 each – for the identical dress!

@Mrs.KMM: May I ask where you got them from. I worry about them being legitimate.

I got mine from here: http://www.bridesmaids.com

They have the OP’s dress for $139 – http://www.bridesmaids.com/as6579.html

All of our dresses arrived right on schedule, were very well made, and were identical to the ones we’d tried on in the boutiques so I’d say that this site was quite legit (and way cheaper than ordering through a bridal salon).

I also used the Dessy line for my bridesmaid dresses.  I picked the color (grey) and length (tea) and let them loose.  Everyone purchased from http://www.bestbridalprices.com  They all looked great.  5 different styles.

They ranged from $103 to $135 and had free shipping.  Highly recommend.

Aww 🙁 That looks like a great site for a deal and they even have the dress style that I want, but they only stock 14 of the 18 colors and, of course, the one I want is one of those that’s missing.

Hi. One of my bridesmaids is wearing that dress and I thik we got it for $148.00 at http://www.bestbridalprices.com. They have a wide variety of Dessy dresses at the best prices I was able to find. The customer service was also excellent, but I can’t give a 100% yet because we are not yet at the delivery date so I can’t yet speak for on time delivery or things of that nature.

@topaz925: i got a dress from that site and it arrived on time – actually early if I remember correctly, but UPS was ruining my life so it took a few days for me to catch them.

Do you have a good amount of Bridemaids?  If you do you should be able to get a discount at most bridal stores as long as your order all together.  My bridemaids wore Alfred Sung dresses from Dessy.  We ordered them at a regular bridal boutique and they were all right around $140 (they each had different styles so the price varied very slightly)

@Mrs.KMM: That’s great the one I like is only £93/$145, I can’t believe my eyes, thats half for what I can get them for in a bridal shop. Did you do the measuring yourself and did they need altering? I’m really tempted…

@Moose1209: Man!  Must vary from dress to dress or shop to shop.  I had 6 BMs and we asked at three different places and even with a discount for ordering all six at once, the cheapest they could get it down to was $185.  So I stuck with the $135 online!  🙂  Great find with your shop though!

@CatyLady: I went and tried the dress on at a bridal shop and had them measure so I knew we were getting the right size (and I had my BMs do the same).  Some of my girls needed minor alterations and some didn’t need any.  One girl had to have a tailor completely take the dress apart and put it back together but she lost a TON of weight very shortly before the wedding due to some health issues (poor SIL) so it wasn’t due to sizes being off at all.  I also got the same dress for me in a black and white pattern for the rehearsal and all I needed was to have the dress shortened a little.

@Mrs.KMM: Did the bridal store mind doing the measuring although you weren’t ordering them from them? I wouldn’t know how to go about getting them measured.

@CatyLady: They didn’t mind, although I also didn’t tell them I was planning to order it online.  I just told them that I hadn’t decided for sure what dress I was going to go with but was gathering the necessary info on those I liked (I didn’t want to deal with the sales pitch that you ALWAYS seem to get at bridal shops).  If you asked to get measured, any shop should be able to do that for you and will know exactly what you need.

My BMs were scattered accross the country so they all went to bridal boutiques on their own so I don’t know what they told the people there, but none of them reported having any difficulty from shop personel.
