@AllyCRN:  I think you can do a lot better for 4k.  That’s a pretty reasonable photography budget, and their pictures are just fine.

As a prof wedding photographer…I don’t like it. The person doesn’t use a fill flash in the sun and there are too many shadows on the faces, or they are too dark (their faces)

personally, not my style. I agree, you can do MUCH better for 4k.

The examples should be their best images.  These are pretty bad.

well the website itself is VERY lack-luster… and the photos….aside from a couple of kinda nice ones, I see a lot that are less quality then the guests at my wedding took, & my FI could take lol (he’s in no way a photographer, but loves to play around with his 800 camera I gave him).

You are right… a photographer would put their best on the site!!

Yeah, I dont like their photos AT ALL. (Or their site).

I would keep looking. Their photos look like photos that were taken by my guests at the wedding. And the photos seem far too staged for me.

@AllyCRN:  I agree with PP, you can do a lot better.

I just wanted to let you know that if you google Primo Moments Photography, this thread comes up on the first page.  So, if your friend and/or her parents ever do a search, it’s likely they’ll find this and might know it’s you!  I’m not sure if it’s too late but I’d try to change the post title if you can.

@rickhurst35:  Can I PM you a link to the photog we are considering and see what you think?

I do apologize for the selfish threadjack and I will answer the question now: OP, don’t mix friendship and business. It never ends well and you feel you couldn’t be honest about what you like/don’t like. I’d use your budget on a photographer who WOWS you not one you feel you are settling for. When the day is done, all you will have left is the pictures to remember it by (and obviously the marriage, but I mean tangible things).

@AllyCRN:  These photos are literally terrible, and based on the website/style of clothing in the images, the photographer(s) hasn’t shot a wedding in the last 3-5 years.

It comes up first in your search because you use Weddingbee.  For a regular person, it would not come up right at the top.

@MrsPanda99:  Sure!  I can also look in your area (research) on photogs.  I have a network around the US and Canada actually that I’m friends with and get together with yearly in Vegas.

Truly, deeply, unimpressive and certainly not the work of professional photographers. The site alone is a template built nightmare but their portfolio is woeful. I really wouldn’t recommend them and as pp have said, as soon as you mix business with family friendship there’s llkely to be stress. Especially since based on what one would assume was a portfolio of their best work, you won’t like your wedding pictures!
