It’s perfectly fine to mix and match shapes.

It doesn’t matter at all! I actually like the look of the round solitaire with the princess band because the princess cuts take up the whole band, if that makes sense, instead of having gaps between the stones.

I think it would look great.

I googled that to see what photos came up and found this one. Pretty!

The wrong one saved to my computer. That is not what I meant to post. Hence why I erased it. but the one I wanted to show you won’t save correctly. 🙁 Boo.

My ring has a round brilliant center stone with princess cut stones in the bands. I LOVE that look! It’s so clean and classic looking.

I think mixing the stones is just fine too!  My engagement ring is a princess solitaire that is kite set, and my wedding band has two “normally” set princess diamonds next to the center stone, with two round diamonds on either side (so it is round, princess, kite, princess, round…if that makes more sense).  It makes me happy because it is unique…and I think it is a sweet sentiment to use stones from your mother’s ring.

I agree, mixing is fine. Mine is a princess cut with round stones in the halo and band and looks fine.

I don’t think it matters. I think some variety can be really beautiful, too. 🙂
