We actually purchases pre designed invitations from Michaels which were made of recycled paper and then we printed them ourselves and put them together (there was a ribbon to tie on). We got SOOOO many compliments on the invitations, and I was pleased we did not spend hundreds on it.
We spent about $100 total for all of our invitations and postage (we did an online/ phone rsvp, not traditional mail back rsvp). I was really pleased with how it turned out.
Was it Printable Press? http://www.printablepress.com/ I thought they had a lot of really nice designs. Good luck! :)

Hi Hive,
Recently, FI and I have been thinking of going with a company that designs invitations, but doesn't print them. They charge a flat fee for the invitation design. We could save some money (maybe) and also use more eco-friendly paper/inks this way. The HUGE problem here is that I totally forgot to bookmark the website of the invitation design company we were looking at!
All I can remember is that they had a large number of wedding invitation designs. You give them your info and the name of the printer you plan to use, and they format it for you according to the specific printer's specifications. It was not on Etsy and it had its own stand alone website.
Can you think of any companies like this? I am feeling like a first-class idiot right now! Thanks!
