It's a little too much for my taste. Do you want them all to match or have you considered doing different dresses with a similar color palette?
Yeah the more I think about it the more I lean towards it being too much...
I'd like them to be similar colors and styles but don't mind them being different...
I found this one in the same eBay store:

but its a little tighter fitting and I worry about the girls not being comfortable & the fabric clinging a bit too much on the size 16 girls :/
Or maybe this one?

but still looks a little tighter fitting around the tummy...
Finding a dress that looks good on everyone ranging from size 2-20 can be difficult. What about setting guidelines and letting them pick the dress?
I actually love the dress! Who says BM dresses have to be a solid color? Why not add a little spunk to them, you know?
I think that patern is a little too much given the simplicity of your dress. I would go for a solid color. Keep looking around I am sure you will be able to find something. Look at stores like the limited, target, etc. If you look in their clearance you may be able to find something more flowy that will satisfy all of you bridesmaids.
Is there a reason you are trying to "gift" the dresses? Just wondering because not gifting them would probably make your budget a little easier to work with. Or maybe just pay for a portion of the dress? Target has an adorable one here: http://www.target.com/p/Strapless-Wrap-Front-Chiffon-Maxi-Dress-Assorted-Colors/-/A-13697306 that is only $69.99 (super cheap from what I've seen).
YIKES! Its a split vote!
I don't wanna be too stuffy and I do wanna be fun but I don't want to get too crazy...
I think they are fun but are they over the top fun and not elegant AND fun...?
@KimmySumShuga: The first dresses are fun, but I am worried about the style. Being a "plus size" girl myself, I would be so uncomfortable in all the dresses you have posted. That type of material tends to look awesome on thin girls, but can cling in the wrong areas for any women with curves.
@shannonh32: OOO Thanks for the target link!
I'm trying to gift the dresses because I already said I would when I found the super cheap Priscilla of Boston sample gowns but since I misinterpretted the sizing a bit cuz I thought with alterations we could make it work... I'm sort of starting all over :\
I've got 12 Priscilla of boston gowns 6 Navy and 6 Teal but with the boys wearing Navy I didn't really think BOTH parties should be in Navy so I was leaning towards the teal but I don't know if all my girls could get the gowns altered to fit their shapes...
I like that Target dress a lot but its not in an ocean blue or champagne... their "blue" looks a little like sea foam green? I wonder if they'd let me return them if I didn't like the color?
@Bostongrl25: Yes, exactly. I thought the first floral print dress was a bit more flowy and not clingy but the last two I've posted worry me... I wish I could just SEE the girls try them all on but internet shopping makes it tough :[
@KimmySumShuga: I have heard that Target will let you return them right in the store. One of the bloggers post a blog saying that Target had them and someone responded saying she ordered one and it didn't fit so she returned it right at the store.
The only thing I would be worried about when ordering them off ebay at such a cheap price would be the quality of them. Might be better for you just to order one first and see how it actually looks in person. The dress with the bow looks super cute!
@shannonh32: yeah I really like that bow one shoulder & the back of my gown has bows but I sort of wanted the dresses to contrast the boys suits instead of being the same color...
Heres the back of my gown:
What do you think?
@KimmySumShuga: Your dress is beautiful! That dress with the bow would look really good with your dress. You can always go with black suits if you choose blue dresses. That would give you a nice contrast like you are looking for.
I don't think the color is too much. The gowns simply aren't elegant enough for such an upscale wedding reception. I love the brightness of the dress, but maybe consider a solid color instead?
Would you consider mixing solids and prints? half of the girls in the solid teal, the rest in the print? just an idea!
I don't think the color is too much, especailly since your dress is simple and the ceremony location. Also, of all the dresses you have posted, I think that first one would be the most flattering on the most body types-- however, I would worry about that fabric a little bit.
@MelissaSB: That's what I was thinking. The pattern is just overwhelming when you have six people that are standing next to each other wearing it.

Hi gals! Do you think this is too much with this as my dress:
with these venues:
Chapel-
& yacht reception:
The boys will be in Navy suits probably with a vest & etc but fiance hasn't picked yet... probbaly in the next few weeks...
I have a bunch of teal dresses that I bought but that I don't think the girls will all fit in/need a lot of alterations...
I wanted to gift the girls the dresses but its proving hard to buy them at a low cost but high quality in sizes 2, 6, 12, 14, 18, & 20 and I also want them to be special so I found this pattern but...
Is this pattern too much?
The dresses are like $25 on eBay in all the sizes I need so that's why I'm so interested in them! They look pretty cute & possibly wearable again for the girls...
what do yout think?
I'm also struggling with our colors... do the bridesmaids dresses really have to coordinate with the colors for the wedding? Can't they just pop?
I'm thinking our colors are White, Navy/Ocean Blues & Sandy Beige/Champagnes with seashells and other nautical things but still formal...would these dresses be too much?
would they over power my dress?
I love the beach but I don't want our day to be too much like an informal beach wedding.
HELP!
