I thought about doing sundress type bridesmaids dresses when I was planning my wedding for June. I think if it goes with your theme, go for it! I think it would be a great, fresh idea. Now that I am getting married in September, I am going with navy blue (i think) but I love the idea of printed bridesmaids dresse!
I really want patterned bridesmaid dresses, too! My goal is to find something cute at Anthro or Beholden. In looking for them, though, I've found that they look a little less formal than I hoped. I think it'll just take more time to find the right thing. I'm going for creams, greens and purples. Maybe gold.
yes I did!! We JUST bought them and they match in a mismatched type way which is fine! I felt that a huge benefit to a printed dress is that they can re-wear it in the future which allows for it not to be sitting in their closet for years until they can discreetly get rid of it!! The tradeoff is that it can make the bridal party look more casual then the usual bridesmaid dress but if your fine with that then do it!!
I saw this picture in a magazine the other day, looks really cute!

@Cherylmarie2818: Ohmygosh! I seriously LOVE that so much.
I like Miranda Lambert's, as posted above. I think it depends on the kind of print and the color of the flowers. I like it when the flowers stand out against the print. I wore a patterned dress for my friend's wedding, and while everyone looked really nice standing altogether, but I didn't like how our flowers got completely lost against the print.
@Amaryllis: Whoa! I totaly didnt realize that was Miranda lambert! lol
You are right about the flowers though... what if I did a white bouquet for them? That might look nice
I'm really in love with this trend! I couldn't do it at mine b/c it just wouldn't have looked right, but if it goes with your theme and you want to, go for it. I think it's nice too, because the girls are more likely to wear them again since they are more passable as everyday dresses and tend to look less "bridesmaid-ish".
@HoneyBear: Cute picture, right? I read that she had the dresses designed to fit each girls personality. So sweet! If the style fits your wedding, I think it's adorable!!
I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have bridesmaid dresses like this...but since I need sizes from 0-22 it's proving to be too difficult finding some that all coordinate...well...unless I just had each girl find their own "small floral print" summer dress...
here is a pic that I love:

@lkr736: I started out wanting to let the girls pick out their own dress, (I love the mismatches look) but I got SO many questions about what I like and dont like and they ended up telling me that it would be easier if I just picked a dress for all of them lol
Would it be weird if I chose a different dress for every girl? lol
@HoneyBear: I don't think that would be weird at all! Do like Miranda Lambert did, and choose a dress that you think fits the girl's personalities and that they would feel most comfortable in. And then you can explain why you chose that specific dress for each of them. I think that would be really sweet and make them feel special!
Whoa- I haven't seen Miranda Lamberts' wedding party until now & that is SERIOUSLY a great idea to have printed dresses!! I may consider it myself!!!!
My girls and I are going to order theirs this weekend! I fell in love with this dress and told them I am going to take one of theirs so I can wear it to dinner on my honeymoon!

Hi gals! Do you think this is too much with this as my dress:
with these venues:
Chapel-
& yacht reception:

The boys will be in Navy suits and I kinda want the girls to POP...
but not be weird.
